1 [Psalm Of Asaph] God takes his stand in the divine assembly, surrounded by the gods he givesjudgement.	1 (Cantico. Salmo di Asaf).
2 'How much longer wil you give unjust judgements and uphold the prestige of the wicked?	2 Chi a te sarà simile, o Dio? Non tacere, non far l'inerte;
3 Let the weak and the orphan have justice, be fair to the wretched and the destitute.Pause	3 Perchè, come vedi, i tuoi nemici han sonata la tromba, e quelli che ti odiano hanno alzata la testa.
4 'Rescue the weak and the needy, save them from the clutches of the wicked.	4 Hanno fatto maligni disegni sopra il tuo popolo, han cospirato contro i tuoi santi.
5 'Ignorant and uncomprehending, they wander in darkness, while the foundations of the world aretottering.	5 Han detto: « Venite, sterminiamoli dalle nazioni, non sia rammentato più il nome d'Israele ».
6 I had thought, "Are you gods, are al of you sons of the Most High?"	6 Han congiurato unanimi, han fatto tutti insieme alleanza contro di te:
7 No! you wil die as human beings do, as one man, princes, you will fal .'	7 Le tende degli Idumei e gl'ismaeliti, Moab e gli Agareni,
8 Arise, God, judge the world, for al nations belong to you.	8 Gebal e Ammon e Àmalec, gli stranieri cogli Abitanti di Tiro.
	9 Ed anche Assur è venuto con essi: han dato aiuto ai figli di Lot.
	10 Fa' loro come facesti a Madian e a Sisara, come a labin nel torrente Cisson,
	11 Distrutti in Endor, diventarono come concime del terreno.
	12 Tratta i loro principi come Oreb e Zeb, come Zebee e Salmana, tutti i loro principi,
	13 Che han detto: « Occupiamo come nostra eredità il santuario di Dio ».
	14 O mio Dio, riducili come ruota, come pagliuzza al ludibrio del vento.
	15 Come fuoco che divora la selva, come fiamma che fa bruciare i monti.
	16 Così inseguili colla tua tempesta, e sbaragliali nel tuo sdegno.
	17 Copri d'ignominia i loro volti, e così cercheranno il tuo nome, o Signore.
	18 Restino svergognati e scompigliati in eterno nella vergogna e nella perdizione,
	19 E riconoscano che tu solo ti chiami il Signore, tu solo sei l'Altissimo sopra tutta la terra.
