Psalms 82

NEW JERUSALEM	STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH
1 [Psalm Of Asaph] God takes his stand in the divine assembly, surrounded by the gods he givesjudgement.	1 מִזְמֹור לְאָסָף אֱ‍לֹהִים נִצָּב בַּעֲדַת־אֵל בְּקֶרֶב אֱלֹהִים יִשְׁפֹּט
2 'How much longer wil you give unjust judgements and uphold the prestige of the wicked?	2 עַד־מָתַי תִּשְׁפְּטוּ־עָוֶל וּפְנֵי רְשָׁעִים תִּשְׂאוּ־סֶלָה
3 Let the weak and the orphan have justice, be fair to the wretched and the destitute.Pause	3 שִׁפְטוּ־דַל וְיָתֹום עָנִי וָרָשׁ הַצְדִּיקוּ
4 'Rescue the weak and the needy, save them from the clutches of the wicked.	4 פַּלְּטוּ־דַל וְאֶבְיֹון מִיַּד רְשָׁעִים הַצִּילוּ
5 'Ignorant and uncomprehending, they wander in darkness, while the foundations of the world aretottering.	5 לֹא יָדְעוּ ׀ וְלֹא יָבִינוּ בַּחֲשֵׁכָה יִתְהַלָּכוּ יִמֹּוטוּ כָּל־מֹוסְדֵי אָרֶץ
6 I had thought, "Are you gods, are al of you sons of the Most High?"	6 אֲ‍נִי־אָמַרְתִּי אֱלֹהִים אַתֶּם וּבְנֵי עֶלְיֹון כֻּלְּכֶם
7 No! you wil die as human beings do, as one man, princes, you will fal .'	7 אָכֵן כְּאָדָם תְּמוּתוּן וּכְאַחַד הַשָּׂרִים תִּפֹּלוּ
8 Arise, God, judge the world, for al nations belong to you.	8 קוּמָה אֱלֹהִים שָׁפְטָה הָאָרֶץ כִּי־אַתָּה תִנְחַל בְּכָל־הַגֹּויִם
