Psalms 82

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 [Psalm Of Asaph] God takes his stand in the divine assembly, surrounded by the gods he givesjudgement.	1 Salmo. Di Asaf. Dio si erge nell'assemblea divina, in mezzo agli dèi emana la sua sentenza:
2 'How much longer wil you give unjust judgements and uphold the prestige of the wicked?	2 "Fino a quando emanerete sentenze inique, e prenderete le parti degli empi?
3 Let the weak and the orphan have justice, be fair to the wretched and the destitute.Pause	3 Difendete piuttosto il debole e l'orfano, rendete giustizia al misero e al povero.
4 'Rescue the weak and the needy, save them from the clutches of the wicked.	4 Liberate il debole e l'indigente, strappatelo alla stretta dell'empio".
5 'Ignorant and uncomprehending, they wander in darkness, while the foundations of the world aretottering.	5 Essi non capiscono, non possono intendere; il loro cammino sta nelle tenebre, possano pur vacillare tutte le fondamenta della terra.
6 I had thought, "Are you gods, are al of you sons of the Most High?"	6 Io riflettei: "Siete dèi, tutti figli dell'Altissimo!
