1 [Psalm Of Asaph] God takes his stand in the divine assembly, surrounded by the gods he givesjudgement.	1 Cantique d’Asaf. Dieu s’est levé dans l’assemblée divine, au milieu des dieux; il dicte le jugement:
2 'How much longer wil you give unjust judgements and uphold the prestige of the wicked?	2 “Jusqu’à quand serez-vous des juges pour le mal, avec tant de respect pour les méchants?
3 Let the weak and the orphan have justice, be fair to the wretched and the destitute.Pause	3 Défendez les droits du faible, de l’orphelin, faites justice au malheureux et au pauvre.
4 'Rescue the weak and the needy, save them from the clutches of the wicked.	4 Vous les voyez si faibles, misérables, délivrez-les du méchant qui les opprime.”
5 'Ignorant and uncomprehending, they wander in darkness, while the foundations of the world aretottering.	5 Ces gens ne savent rien, ils ne comprennent pas, ils tournent en rond dans leurs ténèbres, mais les bases du monde en sont ébranlées.
6 I had thought, "Are you gods, are al of you sons of the Most High?"	6 J’avais dit: “Vous serez des dieux, vous serez tous comme les fils du Très-Haut!”
7 No! you wil die as human beings do, as one man, princes, you will fal .'	7 Mais non: vous serez humains et mortels, vous tomberez comme n’importe qui.
8 Arise, God, judge the world, for al nations belong to you.	8 Lève-toi, ô Dieu, et juge le monde, c’est bien toi qui mènes les peuples!
