1 [Psalm Of Asaph] God, the pagans have invaded your heritage, they have defiled your holy temple,they have laid Jerusalem in ruins,	1 Per quelli che saranno cangiati: testimonianza di Asapù. Ascoltaci tu, pastor d'Israele, tu che conduci Giuseppe, come una pecorella.
2 they have left the corpses of your servants as food for the birds of the air, the bodies of your faithful forthe wild beasts.	2 Tu, che se' assiso sopra i Cherubini, fatti vedere dinanzi ad Efraim, a Beniamin, e a Manasse.
3 Around Jerusalem they have shed blood like water, leaving no one to bury them.	3 Sveglia la tua potenza, e vieni a salvarci.
4 We are the scorn of our neighbours, the butt and laughing-stock of those around us.	4 O Dio, convertici, è mostra a noi la tua faccia, e sarem salvi.
5 How long will you be angry, Yahweh? For ever? Is your jealousy to go on smouldering like a fire?	5 Signore Dio degli eserciti fino a quando ti adirerai, né darai ascolto all'orazione del tuo servo?
6 Pour out your anger on the nations who do not acknowledge you, and on the kingdoms that do not callon your name;	6 E ci nudrirai con pane di lagrime, e bevanda di lagrime darai a noi in larga misura?
7 for they have devoured Jacob and devastated his home.	7 Ci hai renduti oggetto di contraddizione ai nostri vicini, e i nemici nostri nemici si fan beffe di noi.
8 Do not count against us the guilt of former generations, in your tenderness come quickly to meet us,for we are utterly weakened;	8 Dio degli eserciti, convertici, e mostraci la tua faccia, e sarem salvi.
9 help us, God our Saviour, for the glory of your name; Yahweh, wipe away our sins, rescue us for thesake of your name.	9 Tu dall'Egitto traportasti una vigna: discacciasti le nazioni, e la piantasti.
10 Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?' Let us see the nations suffer vengeance forshedding your servants' blood.	10 Tu le andasti avanti come condottiere nel viaggio: tu facesti barbicare le sue radici, ed ella empiè la terra.
11 May the groans of the captive reach you, by your great strength save those who are condemned todeath!	11 L'ombra di lei ricoperse i monti, e i rami di lei i cedri di Dio.
12 Repay our neighbours sevenfold for the insults they have level ed at you, Lord.	12 Fino al mare stese ella i suoi tralci, e le sue propagini fino al fiume.
13 And we, your people, the flock that you pasture, will thank you for ever, wil recite your praises fromage to age.	13 Per qual motivo hai tu distrutta la sua siepe, e la vendemmiano tutti quei, che passano per istrada?
	14 Il cinghiale del bosco la ha sterminata, e la fiera solitaria feroce ne ha fatto pasto.
	15 Dio degli eserciti, volgiti a noi, mira dal cielo, e vedi, e visita questa vigna.
	16 E lei coltiva, che fu piantata dalla tua destra: e mira quel figliuolo dell'uomo, cui tu eleggesti.
	17 Ella è stata arsa dal fuoco, e di radicata: ma a' minacciosi tuoi sguardi periranno i nemici.
	18 Sia la mano tua sopra l'uomo della tua destra, e sopra il figliuolo dell'uomo, cui tu ti eleggesti.
	19 E noi non recediamo da te: tu ci darai nuova vita, e noi invocheremo il tuo nome.
	20 Signore Dio degli escerciti convertici, e mostraci la tua faccia, e sarem salvi.
