1 [For the choirmaster For strings Psalm Of Asaph Song] God is acknowledged in Judah, his name isgreat in Israel,	1 לַמְנַצֵּחַ בִּנְגִינֹת מִזְמֹור לְאָסָף שִׁיר
2 his tent is pitched in Salem, his dwel ing is in Zion;	2 נֹודָע בִּיהוּדָה אֱלֹהִים בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל גָּדֹול שְׁמֹו
3 there he has broken the lightning-flashes of the bow, shield and sword and war.Pause	3 וַיְהִי בְשָׁלֵם סֻכֹּו וּמְעֹונָתֹו בְצִיֹּון
4 Radiant you are, and renowned for the mountains of booty	4 מָּה שִׁבַּר רִשְׁפֵי־קָשֶׁת מָגֵן וְחֶרֶב וּמִלְחָמָה סֶלָה
5 taken from them. Heroes are now sleeping their last sleep, the warriors' arms have failed them;	5 נָאֹור אַתָּה אַדִּיר מֵהַרְרֵי־טָרֶף
6 at your reproof, God of Jacob, chariot and horse stand stunned.	6 אֶשְׁתֹּולְלוּ ׀ אַבִּירֵי לֵב נָמוּ שְׁנָתָם וְלֹא־מָצְאוּ כָל־אַנְשֵׁי־חַיִל יְדֵיהֶם
7 You, you alone, strike terror! Who can hold his ground in your presence when your anger strikes?	7 מִגַּעֲרָתְךָ אֱלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב נִרְדָּם וְרֶכֶב וָסוּס
8 From heaven your verdicts thunder, the earth is silent with dread	8 אַתָּה ׀ נֹורָא אַתָּה וּמִי־יַעֲמֹד לְפָנֶיךָ מֵאָז אַפֶּךָ
9 when God takes his stand to give judgement, to save all the humble of the earth.Pause	9 מִשָּׁמַיִם הִשְׁמַעְתָּ דִּין אֶרֶץ יָרְאָה וְשָׁקָטָה
10 Human anger serves only to praise you, the survivors of your anger will huddle round you.	10 בְּקוּם־לַמִּשְׁפָּט אֱלֹהִים לְהֹושִׁיעַ כָּל־עַנְוֵי־אֶרֶץ סֶלָה
11 Make and fulfil your vows to Yahweh your God, let those who surround him make offerings to theAwesome One.	11 כִּי־חֲמַת אָדָם תֹּודֶךָּ שְׁאֵרִית חֵמֹת תַּחְגֹּר
12 He cuts short the breath of princes, strikes terror in earthly kings.	12 נִדֲרוּ וְשַׁלְּמוּ לַיהוָה אֱ‍לֹהֵיכֶם כָּל־סְבִיבָיו יֹובִילוּ י לַמֹּורָא
	13 יִבְצֹר רוּחַ נְגִידִים נֹורָא לְמַלְכֵי־אָרֶץ
