Psalms 61

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 [For the choirmaster For strings Of David] God, hear my cry, listen to my prayer.	1 Al maestro di coro. Su strumento a corda. Di Davide.
2 From the end of the earth I cal to you with fainting heart. Lead me to the high rock that stands far outof my reach.	2 Il mio grido ascolta, o Dio, fa' attenzione alla mia preghiera.
3 For you are my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.	3 Dai confini della terra io t'invoco, mentre vien meno il mio cuore.
4 Let me stay in your tent for ever, taking refuge in the shelter of your wings!	4 Deponimi sulla rupe, che per me troppo in alto s'eleva. Poiché un rifugio sei tu per me, una torre munita in faccia al nemico.
5 For you, God, accept my vows, you grant me the heritage of those who fear your name.	5 Possa io abitare nella tua tenda per sempre, possa rifugiarmi all'ombra delle tue ali!
6 Let the king live on and on, let his years continue age after age.	6 Sì, tu, o Dio, hai esaudito i miei voti, hai appagato il desiderio di quanti temono il tuo nome:
7 May his throne be always in God's presence, your faithful love and constancy watch over him.	7 "Molti giorni aggiungi ai giorni del re, i suoi anni uguaglia a molte generazioni.
8 Then I shal always sing to your name, day after day fulfilling my vows.	8 Sieda in trono per sempre al cospetto di Dio; la grazia e la fedeltà lo custodiscano sempre!".
	9 Così vorrò inneggiare al tuo nome per sempre, e adempiere i miei voti di giorno in giorno.
