NEW JERUSALEMNEW AMERICAN BIBLE
[For the choirmaster For strings Of David] God, hear my cry, listen to my prayer.1 For the leader; with stringed instruments. Of David.
From the end of the earth I cal to you with fainting heart. Lead me to the high rock that stands far outof my reach.2 Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer!
For you are my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.3 From the brink of Sheol I call; my heart grows faint. Raise me up, set me on a rock,
Let me stay in your tent for ever, taking refuge in the shelter of your wings!4 for you are my refuge, a tower of strength against the foe.
For you, God, accept my vows, you grant me the heritage of those who fear your name.5 Then I will ever dwell in your tent, take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah
Let the king live on and on, let his years continue age after age.6 O God, when you accept my vows and hear the plea of those who revere your name in prayer:
May his throne be always in God's presence, your faithful love and constancy watch over him.7 "Add to the days of the king's life; may his years be many generations;
Then I shal always sing to your name, day after day fulfilling my vows.8 May he reign before God forever; may your love and fidelity preserve him"--
Then I will sing your name forever, fulfill my vows day after day.
