1 [Of David Poem] How blessed are those whose offence is forgiven, whose sin blotted out.	1 - Salmo di David. Esultate, o giusti, nel Signore: ai retti si conviene il lodar[lo].
2 How blessed are those to whom Yahweh imputes no guilt, whose spirit harbours no deceit.	2 Celebrate il Signore sulla cetra, sull'arpa a dieci corde inneggiate a lui.
3 I said not a word, but my bones wasted away from groaning al the day;	3 Cantategli un cantico nuovo, bellamente inneggiate a lui con suoni festanti.
4 day and night your hand lay heavy upon me; my heart grew parched as stubble in summerdrought.Pause	4 Perché retta è la parola del Signore, e tutte le sue opere, fedeli.
5 I made my sin known to you, did not conceal my guilt. I said, 'I shal confess my offence to Yahweh.'And you, for your part, took away my guilt, forgave my sin.Pause	5 egli ama la giustizia e il diritto: della bontà del Signore è piena la terra.
6 That is why each of your faithful ones prays to you in time of distress. Even if great floods overflow,they will never reach your faithful.	6 Per la parola del Signore furon stabiliti i cieli, e col soffio di sua bocca tutta la loro schiera.
7 You are a refuge for me, you guard me in trouble, with songs of deliverance you surround me.Pause	7 E' raccoglie come in un otre le acque del mare, chiude in serbatoi gli abissi.
8 I shal instruct you and teach you the way to go; I shall not take my eyes off you.	8 Tema il Signore tutta la terra, e davanti a lui tremino tutti gli abitanti dell'orbe.
9 Be not like a horse or a mule; that does not understand bridle or bit; if you advance to master them,there is no means of bringing them near.	9 Perchè egli disse, e fu fatto: comandò, e fu creata [ogni cosa].
10 Countless troubles are in store for the wicked, but one who trusts in Yahweh is enfolded in his faithfullove.	10 Il Signore abbatte i progetti delle genti, rigetta i pensieri de' popoli, rigetta i progetti de' principi.
11 Rejoice in Yahweh, exult al you upright, shout for joy, you honest of heart.	11 Ma il disegno del Signore in eterno sussiste; i pensieri del suo cuore, di generazione in generazione.
	12 Beato il popolo il cui dio è il Signore, il popolo ch'egli s'è scelto in retaggio.
	13 Dal cielo guarda giù il Signore, vede tutti i figliuoli degli uomini.
	14 Dalla salda sua sede guardasu tutti gli abitanti della terra,
	15 egli che ad uno ad uno ha formato i loro cuori, egli che scruta tutte le opere loro.
	16 Non si salva [e vince] il re per numeroso esercito, nè il prode si salva per grandezza di vigore.
	17 Vano è il cavallo per la salvezza: con tutto il suo vigore non trarrà in salvo [il cavaliere].
	18 [Ma] ecco, gli occhi del Signore son su coloro che lo temonoe su quelli che sperano nel suo favore,
	19 per strappar dalla morte le anime loroe sostentarli in [tempo di] fame.
	20 L'anima nostra spera nel Signore, perché aiuto egli è e protettore nostro.
	21 In lui s'allieta il nostro cuore, e nel suo santo nome speriamo.
	22 Sia il tuo favore, o Signore, su noi, sì come noi confidiamo in te!
