1 [Of David Poem] How blessed are those whose offence is forgiven, whose sin blotted out.	1 Maszkíl Dávidtól. Boldog, akinek gonoszsága bocsánatot nyert, és akiknek bűne el van takarva.
2 How blessed are those to whom Yahweh imputes no guilt, whose spirit harbours no deceit.	2 Boldog az, akinek az Úr nem tudja be vétkét, s akinek lelkében nincsen csalárdság.
3 I said not a word, but my bones wasted away from groaning al the day;	3 Amíg hallgattam, csontjaim megöregedtek, s egész nap jajgattam.
4 day and night your hand lay heavy upon me; my heart grew parched as stubble in summerdrought.Pause	4 Mert éjjel-nappal rám nehezedett kezed, ellankadt erőm, mint a nyár hevében.
5 I made my sin known to you, did not conceal my guilt. I said, 'I shal confess my offence to Yahweh.'And you, for your part, took away my guilt, forgave my sin.Pause	5 Megvallottam előtted bűnömet, gonoszságomat el nem rejtettem. Elhatároztam: »Megvallom magam ellen hűtlenségemet az Úrnak.« És te vétkem gonoszságát megbocsátottad.
6 That is why each of your faithful ones prays to you in time of distress. Even if great floods overflow,they will never reach your faithful.	6 Hozzád fohászkodjon tehát minden szent alkalmas időben, akkor áradjanak bár a vizek, el nem érik őket.
7 You are a refuge for me, you guard me in trouble, with songs of deliverance you surround me.Pause	7 Te vagy menedékem, megőrzöl a veszedelemtől; Körülveszel a szabadulás örömével.
8 I shal instruct you and teach you the way to go; I shall not take my eyes off you.	8 Értelmet adok neked és megtanítlak az útra, amelyen járnod kell; Rajtad tartom szemem.
9 Be not like a horse or a mule; that does not understand bridle or bit; if you advance to master them,there is no means of bringing them near.	9 Ne legyetek értelmetlenek, mint a ló és az öszvér: amelyeknek fékkel és zablával kell szorítani az állát, másként nem közelednek hozzád.
10 Countless troubles are in store for the wicked, but one who trusts in Yahweh is enfolded in his faithfullove.	10 Sok csapás éri a bűnöst, ám az Úrban remélőt irgalom övezi.
11 Rejoice in Yahweh, exult al you upright, shout for joy, you honest of heart.	11 Örvendjetek az Úrban és vigadjatok, igazak, ujjongjatok mindnyájan egyenes szívűek!
