Psalms 32

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [Of David Poem] How blessed are those whose offence is forgiven, whose sin blotted out.	1 De David. Poema. ¡Feliz el que ha sido absuelto de su pecado y liberado de su falta!
2 How blessed are those to whom Yahweh imputes no guilt, whose spirit harbours no deceit.	2 ¡Feliz el hombre a quien el Señor no le tiene en cuenta las culpas, y en cuyo espíritu no hay doblez!
3 I said not a word, but my bones wasted away from groaning al the day;	3 Mientras me quedé callado, mis huesos se consumían entre continuos lamentos,
4 day and night your hand lay heavy upon me; my heart grew parched as stubble in summerdrought.Pause	4 porque de día y de noche tu mano pesaba sobre mí; mi savia se secaba por los ardores del verano.
5 I made my sin known to you, did not conceal my guilt. I said, 'I shal confess my offence to Yahweh.'And you, for your part, took away my guilt, forgave my sin.Pause	5 Pero yo reconocí mi pecado, no te escondí mi culpa, pensando: «Confesaré mis faltas al Señor». ¡Y tú perdonaste mi culpa y mi pecado!
6 That is why each of your faithful ones prays to you in time of distress. Even if great floods overflow,they will never reach your faithful.	6 Por eso, que todos tus fieles te supliquen en el momento de la angustia; y cuando irrumpan las aguas caudalosas no llegarán hasta ellos.
7 You are a refuge for me, you guard me in trouble, with songs of deliverance you surround me.Pause	7 Tú eres mi refugio, tú me libras de los peligros y me colmas con la alegría de la salvación.
8 I shal instruct you and teach you the way to go; I shall not take my eyes off you.	8 Yo te instruiré, te enseñaré el camino que debes seguir; con los ojos puestos en ti, seré tu consejero.
9 Be not like a horse or a mule; that does not understand bridle or bit; if you advance to master them,there is no means of bringing them near.	9 No sean irracionales como el caballo y la mula, cuyo brío hay que contener con el bozal y el freno para poder acercarse.
10 Countless troubles are in store for the wicked, but one who trusts in Yahweh is enfolded in his faithfullove.	10 ¡Cuántos son los tormentos del malvado! Pero el Señor cubrirá con su amor al que confía en él.
11 Rejoice in Yahweh, exult al you upright, shout for joy, you honest of heart.	11 ¡Alégrense en el Señor, regocíjense los justos! ¡Canten jubilosos los rectos de corazón!
