Psalms 32

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 [Of David Poem] How blessed are those whose offence is forgiven, whose sin blotted out.	1 Maschil di Davide BEATO colui la cui trasgressione è rimessa, E il cui peccato è coperto!
2 How blessed are those to whom Yahweh imputes no guilt, whose spirit harbours no deceit.	2 Beato l’uomo a cui il Signore non imputa iniquità, E nel cui spirito non vi è frode alcuna!
3 I said not a word, but my bones wasted away from groaning al the day;	3 Mentre io mi son taciuto, le mie ossa si sono invecchiate, Nel mio ruggire di tutto dì.
4 day and night your hand lay heavy upon me; my heart grew parched as stubble in summerdrought.Pause	4 Perciocchè giorno e notte la tua mano era aggravata sopra me, L’umor mio era divenuto simile ad arsure di state. Sela.
5 I made my sin known to you, did not conceal my guilt. I said, 'I shal confess my offence to Yahweh.'And you, for your part, took away my guilt, forgave my sin.Pause	5 Io ti ho dichiarato il mio peccato, non ho coperta la mia iniquità, Io ho detto: Io confesserò le mie trasgressioni al Signore; E tu hai rimessa l’iniquità del mio peccato. Sela.
6 That is why each of your faithful ones prays to you in time of distress. Even if great floods overflow,they will never reach your faithful.	6 Perciò ogni uomo pio ti farà orazione Nel tempo che tu puoi esser trovato; Nel tempo di diluvio di grandi acque, esse non pur perverranno a lui
7 You are a refuge for me, you guard me in trouble, with songs of deliverance you surround me.Pause	7 Tu sei il mio ricetto, tu mi guarderai di distretta, Tu mi circonderai di canti di liberazione. Sela.
8 I shal instruct you and teach you the way to go; I shall not take my eyes off you.	8 Io voglio ammaestrarti ed insegnarti la via, Per la quale devi camminare; E consigliarti, avendo l’occhio sopra te.
9 Be not like a horse or a mule; that does not understand bridle or bit; if you advance to master them,there is no means of bringing them near.	9 Non siate come il cavallo, nè come il mulo, che sono senza intelletto; La cui bocca conviene frenare con morso e con freno, Altrimenti non si accosterebbero a te.
10 Countless troubles are in store for the wicked, but one who trusts in Yahweh is enfolded in his faithfullove.	10 Molti dolori avverranno all’empio; Ma benignità intornierà colui che si confida nel Signore.
11 Rejoice in Yahweh, exult al you upright, shout for joy, you honest of heart.	11 Rallegratevi nel Signore, e fate festa, o giusti; E giubilate, voi tutti che siete diritti di cuore
