1 [Psalm Of David When he was fleeing from his son Absalom] Yahweh, how countless are my enemies,how countless those who rise up against me,	1 - Salmo di David. Quando fuggiva via da Assalonne suo figlio.
2 how countless those who say of me, 'No salvation for him from his God!'Pause	2 O Signore, come si son moltiplicati i miei persecutori, quanti insorgono contro di me!
3 But you, Yahweh, the shield at my side, my glory, you hold my head high.	3 molti [già] dicon di me:«Non v'è salvezza per lui presso il suo Dio!».
4 I cry out to Yahweh; he answers from his holy mountain.Pause	4 Ma tu, O Signore, sei il mio difensore, tu la mia gloria, colui che rialza il mio capo.
5 As for me, if I lie down and sleep, I shall awake, for Yahweh sustains me.	5 Con la mia voce io grido al Signore, ed e' m'ascolta dal suo santo monte.
6 I have no fear of people in their thousands upon thousands, who range themselves against mewherever I turn.	6 Mi coricai e dormii, ed [ecco] mi son levato, perché il Signor mi sostiene.
7 Arise, Yahweh, rescue me, my God! You strike all my foes across the face, you break the teeth of thewicked.	7 Non temo le migliaia di genteche mi s'accampan d'intorno! Lèvati su, o Signore! salvami, o mio Dio!
8 In Yahweh is salvation, on your people, your blessing!Pause	8 Chè tu percuoti tutti quelli che m'avversan senza motivo, e i denti de' peccatori tu spezzi.
	9 Dal Signore vien la salvezza! E sul popolo suo [si posi] la tua benedizione!
