Psalms 3

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 [Psalm Of David When he was fleeing from his son Absalom] Yahweh, how countless are my enemies,how countless those who rise up against me,	1 Psalmus. David, cum fugit a filio suo Absalom.
2 how countless those who say of me, 'No salvation for him from his God!'Pause	2 Domine, quid multiplicati sunt, qui tribulant me? Multi insurgunt adversum me,
3 But you, Yahweh, the shield at my side, my glory, you hold my head high.	3 multi dicunt animae meae: “ Non est salus ipsi in Deo ”.
4 I cry out to Yahweh; he answers from his holy mountain.Pause	4 Tu autem, Domine, protector meus es, gloria mea et exaltans caput meum.
5 As for me, if I lie down and sleep, I shall awake, for Yahweh sustains me.	5 Voce mea ad Dominum clamavi, et exaudivit me de monte sancto suo.
6 I have no fear of people in their thousands upon thousands, who range themselves against mewherever I turn.	6 Ego obdormivi et soporatus sum, exsurrexi, quia Dominus suscepit me.
7 Arise, Yahweh, rescue me, my God! You strike all my foes across the face, you break the teeth of thewicked.	7 Non timebo milia populi circumdantis me. Exsurge, Domine salvum me fac, Deus meus;
8 In Yahweh is salvation, on your people, your blessing!Pause	8 quoniam tu percussisti in maxillam omnes adversantes mihi, dentes peccatorum contrivisti.
	9 Domini est salus, et super populum tuum benedictio tua.
