Psalms 114

NEW JERUSALEM	Miqra 'al pi ha-Mesorah
1 Al eluia! When Israel came out of Egypt, the House of Jacob from a people of foreign speech,	1 בְּצֵאת יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמִּצְרָיִםבֵּית יַעֲקֹב מֵעַם לֹעֵֽז׃
2 Judah became his sanctuary, and Israel his domain.	2 הָיְתָה יְהוּדָה לְקׇדְשׁוֹיִשְׂרָאֵל מַמְשְׁלוֹתָֽיו׃
3 The sea fled at the sight, the Jordan turned back,	3 הַיָּם רָאָה וַיָּנֹסהַיַּרְדֵּן יִסֹּב לְאָחֽוֹר׃
4 the mountains skipped like rams, the hil s like sheep.	4 הֶהָרִים רָקְדוּ כְאֵילִיםגְּבָעוֹת כִּבְנֵי־צֹֽאן׃
5 Sea, what makes you flee? Jordan, why turn back?	5 מַה־לְּךָ הַיָּם כִּי תָנוּסהַיַּרְדֵּן תִּסֹּב לְאָחֽוֹר׃
6 Why skip like rams, you mountains? Why like sheep, you hills?	6 הֶהָרִים תִּרְקְדוּ כְאֵילִיםגְּבָעוֹת כִּבְנֵי־צֹֽאן׃
7 Tremble, earth, at the coming of the Lord, at the coming of the God of Jacob,	7 מִלִּפְנֵי אָדוֹן חוּלִי אָרֶץמִלִּפְנֵי אֱלוֹהַּ יַעֲקֹֽב׃
8 who turns rock into pool, flint into fountain.	8 הַהֹפְכִי הַצּוּר אֲגַם־מָיִםחַלָּמִישׁ לְמַעְיְנוֹ־מָֽיִם׃
