NEW JERUSALEM	STUTTGARTENSIA-DELITZSCH
1 Al eluia! When Israel came out of Egypt, the House of Jacob from a people of foreign speech,	1 בְּצֵאת יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמִּצְרָיִם בֵּית יַעֲקֹב מֵעַם לֹעֵז
2 Judah became his sanctuary, and Israel his domain.	2 הָיְתָה יְהוּדָה לְקָדְשֹׁו יִשְׂרָאֵל מַמְשְׁלֹותָיו
3 The sea fled at the sight, the Jordan turned back,	3 הַיָּם רָאָה וַיָּנֹס הַיַּרְדֵּן יִסֹּב לְאָחֹור
4 the mountains skipped like rams, the hil s like sheep.	4 הֶהָרִים רָקְדוּ כְאֵילִים גְּבָעֹות כִּבְנֵי־צֹאן
5 Sea, what makes you flee? Jordan, why turn back?	5 מַה־לְּךָ הַיָּם כִּי תָנוּס הַיַּרְדֵּן תִּסֹּב לְאָחֹור
6 Why skip like rams, you mountains? Why like sheep, you hills?	6 הֶהָרִים תִּרְקְדוּ כְאֵילִים גְּבָעֹות כִּבְנֵי־צֹאן
7 Tremble, earth, at the coming of the Lord, at the coming of the God of Jacob,	7 מִלִּפְנֵי אָדֹון חוּלִי אָרֶץ מִלִּפְנֵי אֱלֹוהַּ יַעֲקֹב
8 who turns rock into pool, flint into fountain.	8 הַהֹפְכִי הַצּוּר אֲגַם־מָיִם חַלָּמִישׁ לְמַעְיְנֹו־מָיִם
