NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 [For the choirmaster Of David] In Yahweh I have found refuge. How can you say to me, 'Bird, flee toyour mountain?	1 Al maestro di coro. Di Davide. Presso il Signore mi sono rifugiato; come potete voi dirmi: "Vola via ai monti, come un uccello"?
2 'For look, the wicked are drawing their bows, fitting their arrows to the string to shoot honest men fromthe shadows.	2 Poiché ecco: i malvagi stanno per tendere l'arco; hanno messo la loro freccia sulla corda per colpire nel buio i retti di cuore.

4 Yahweh in his holy temple! Yahweh, his throne is in heaven; his eyes watch over the world, his gazescrutinises the children of Adam.	4 Il Signore, nel tempio è il suo santuario, il Signore, nel cielo è il suo trono. I suoi occhi osservano, le sue palpebre scrutano i figli dell'uomo.
5 Yahweh examines the upright and the wicked, the lover of violence he detests.	5 Il Signore scruta il giusto e il malvagio, egli odia chi ama la violenza;
6 He will rain down red-hot coals, fire and sulphur on the wicked, a scorching wind wil be their lot.	6 fa piovere sui malvagi carboni di fuoco e zolfo; turbine fiammeggiante è la sorte della loro coppa.
7 For Yahweh is upright and loves uprightness, the honest will ever see his face.	7 Poiché giusto è il Signore, amante delle cose giuste; i retti contempleranno il suo volto.
