1 [For the choirmaster Of David] In Yahweh I have found refuge. How can you say to me, 'Bird, flee toyour mountain?	1 Al maestro del coro. Di Davide.Nel Signore mi sono rifugiato.Come potete dirmi:«Fuggi come un passero verso il monte»?
2 'For look, the wicked are drawing their bows, fitting their arrows to the string to shoot honest men fromthe shadows.	2 Ecco, i malvagi tendono l’arco,aggiustano la freccia sulla cordaper colpire nell’ombra i retti di cuore.
3 If the foundations fal to ruin, what can the upright do?'	3 Quando sono scosse le fondamenta,il giusto che cosa può fare?
4 Yahweh in his holy temple! Yahweh, his throne is in heaven; his eyes watch over the world, his gazescrutinises the children of Adam.	4 Ma il Signore sta nel suo tempio santo,il Signore ha il trono nei cieli.I suoi occhi osservano attenti,le sue pupille scrutano l’uomo.
5 Yahweh examines the upright and the wicked, the lover of violence he detests.	5 Il Signore scruta giusti e malvagi,egli odia chi ama la violenza.
6 He will rain down red-hot coals, fire and sulphur on the wicked, a scorching wind wil be their lot.	6 Brace, fuoco e zolfo farà piovere sui malvagi;vento bruciante toccherà loro in sorte.
7 For Yahweh is upright and loves uprightness, the honest will ever see his face.	7 Giusto è il Signore, ama le cose giuste;gli uomini retti contempleranno il suo volto.
