Exodus 25

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	1 Yahvé parla à Moïse et lui dit:
2 'Tel the Israelites to set aside a contribution for me; you wil accept a contribution from everyonewhose heart prompts him to give it.	2 "Dis aux Israélites de prélever pour moi une contribution. Vous prendrez la contribution de tousceux que leur coeur incite.
3 And this is what you wil accept from them: gold, silver and bronze;	3 Et voici la contribution que vous accepterez d'eux: de l'or, de l'argent et du bronze;
4 materials dyed violet-purple, red-purple and crimson, fine linen, goats' hair;	4 de la pourpre violette et écarlate, du cramoisi, du lin fin et du poil de chèvre;
5 rams' skins dyed red, fine leather, acacia wood;	5 des peaux de béliers teintes en rouge, du cuir fin et du bois d'acacia;
6 oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and fragrant incense;	6 de l'huile pour le luminaire, des aromates pour l'huile d'onction et l'encens aromatique;
7 cornelian and other stones to be set in the ephod and breastplate.	7 des pierres de cornaline et des pierres à enchâsser dans l'éphod et le pectoral.
8 Make me a sanctuary so that I can reside among them.	8 Fais-moi un sanctuaire, que je puisse résider parmi eux.
9 You will make it al according to the design for the Dwel ing and the design for its furnishings which Ishall now show you.	9 Tu feras tout selon le modèle de la Demeure et le modèle de son mobilier que je vais te montrer.
10 'You must make me an ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, one and a half cubits wide andone and a half cubits high.	10 "Tu feras en bois d'acacia une arche longue de deux coudées et demie, large d'une coudée et demieet haute d'une coudée et demie.
11 You wil overlay it, inside and out, with pure gold and make a gold moulding al round it.	11 Tu la plaqueras d'or pur, au-dedans et au-dehors, et tu feras sur elle une moulure d'or, tout autour.
12 You wil cast four gold rings for it and fix them to its four supports: two rings on one side and tworings on the other.	12 Tu fondras pour elle quatre anneaux d'or, et tu les mettras à ses quatre pieds: deux anneaux d'uncôté et deux anneaux de l'autre.
13 You wil also make shafts of acacia wood and overlay them with gold	13 Tu feras aussi des barres en bois d'acacia; tu les plaqueras d'or,
14 and pass the shafts through the rings on the sides of the ark, by which to carry it.	14 et tu engageras dans les anneaux fixés sur les côtés de l'arche les barres qui serviront à la porter.
15 The shafts wil stay in the rings of the ark and not be withdrawn.	15 Les barres resteront dans les anneaux de l'arche et n'en seront pas ôtées.
16 Inside the ark you wil put the Testimony which I am about to give you.	16 Tu mettras dans l'arche le Témoignage que je te donnerai.
17 'You wil also make a mercy-seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubitswide,	17 Tu feras aussi un propitiatoire d'or pur, de deux coudées et demie de long et d'une coudée et demiede large.
18 and you wil model two great winged creatures of beaten gold, you wil make them at the two ends ofthe mercy-seat.	18 Tu feras deux chérubins d'or repoussé, tu les feras aux deux extrémités du propitiatoire.
19 Model one of the winged creatures at one end and the other winged creature at the other end; youwil model the winged creatures of a piece with the mercy-seat at either end.	19 Fais l'un des chérubins à une extrémité et l'autre chérubin à l'autre extrémité: tu feras les chérubinsfaisant corps avec le propitiatoire, à ses deux extrémités.
20 The winged creatures must have their wings spread upwards, protecting the mercy-seat with theirwings and facing each other, their faces being towards the mercy-seat.	20 Les chérubins auront les ailes déployées vers le haut et protégeront le propitiatoire de leurs ailes ense faisant face. Les faces des chérubins seront tournées vers le propitiatoire.
21 You wil put the mercy-seat on the top of the ark, and inside the ark you will put the Testimony which Iam about to give you.	21 Tu mettras le propitiatoire sur le dessus de l'arche, et tu mettras dans l'arche le Témoignage que jete donnerai.
22 There I shall come to meet you; from above the mercy-seat, from between the two winged creatureswhich are on the ark of the Testimony, I shall give you al my orders for the Israelites.	22 C'est là que je te rencontrerai. C'est de sur le propitiatoire, d'entre les deux chérubins qui sont surl'arche du Témoignage, que je te donnerai mes ordres pour les Israélites.
23 'You must also make a table of acacia wood, two cubits long, one cubit wide and one and a halfcubits high.	23 "Tu feras une table en bois d'acacia, longue de deux coudées, large d'une coudée et haute d'unecoudée et demie.
24 You wil overlay it with pure gold, and make a gold moulding al round it.	24 Tu la plaqueras d'or pur, et tu lui feras tout autour une moulure d'or.
25 You wil fit it with struts of a hand's breadth and make a gold moulding round the struts.	25 Tout autour, tu lui feras des entretoises larges d'une palme, et tu feras autour des entretoises unemoulure d'or.
26 You wil make four gold rings for it and fix the four rings at the four corners where the four legs are.	26 Tu lui feras quatre anneaux d'or, et tu mettras les anneaux aux quatre angles formés par les quatrepieds.
27 The rings must lie close to the struts to hold the shafts for carrying the table.	27 Les anneaux seront placés près des entretoises pour loger les barres qui serviront à porter la table.
28 You must make the shafts of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. The table must be carried bythese.	28 Tu feras les barres en bois d'acacia et tu les plaqueras d'or; elles serviront à porter la table.
29 You must make dishes, cups, jars and libation bowls for it; you must make these of pure gold,	29 Tu feras ses plats, ses coupes, ses aiguières ainsi que ses bols pour les libations; c'est d'or pur quetu les feras,
30 and on the table, in my presence, you wil always put the loaves of permanent offering.	30 et tu placeras toujours sur la table, devant moi, les pains d'oblation.
31 'You wil also make a lamp-stand of pure gold; the lamp-stand must be of beaten gold, base andstem. Its cups, calyxes and petals, must be of a piece with it.	31 Tu feras un candélabre d'or pur; le candélabre, sa base et son fût seront repoussés; ses calices,boutons et fleurs feront corps avec lui.
32 Six branches must spring from its sides: three of the lamp-stand's branches from one side, three ofthe lamp-stand's branches from the other.	32 Six branches s'en détacheront sur les côtés: trois branches du candélabre d'un côté, trois branchesdu candélabre de l'autre côté.
33 The first branch must carry three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with its calyx and petals;the second branch, too, must carry three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with its calyx and bud, andsimilarly for all six branches springing from the lamp-stand.	33 La première branche portera trois calices en forme de fleur d'amandier, avec bouton et fleur; ladeuxième branche portera aussi trois calices en forme de fleur d'amandier, avec bouton et fleur; il en sera ainsipour les six branches partant du candélabre.
34 The lamp-stand itself must carry four cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with its calyx and bud:	34 Le candélabre lui-même portera quatre calices en forme de fleur d'amandier, avec bouton et fleur:
35 one calyx under the first two branches springing from the lamp-stand, one calyx under the next pairof branches and one calyx under the last pair of branches -- thus for al six branches springing from the lamp-stand.	35 un bouton sous les deux premières branches partant du candélabre, un bouton sous les deuxbranches suivantes et un bouton sous les deux dernières branches -- donc aux six branches se détachant ducandélabre.
36 The calyxes and the branches wil be of a piece with the lamp-stand, and the whole made from asingle piece of pure gold, beaten out.	36 Les boutons et les branches feront corps avec le candélabre et le tout sera fait d'un bloc d'or purrepoussé.
37 You wil also make seven lamps for it and mount the lamps in such a way that they light up the spacein front of it.	37 Puis tu feras ses sept lampes. On montera les lampes de telle sorte qu'elles éclairent en avant de lui.
38 The snuffers and trays must be of pure gold.	38 Ses mouchettes et ses cendriers seront d'or pur.
39 You wil use a talent of pure gold for the lamp-stand and al its accessories;	39 Tu le feras, avec tous ses accessoires, d'un talent d'or pur.
40 and see that you work to the design which was shown you on the mountain.'	40 Regarde et exécute selon le modèle qui t'est montré sur la montagne.
