NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 The Israelites listed according to heads of families, commanders of thousands and hundreds, withtheir officials in the king's service who dealt with al matters affecting the companies on monthly duty, month bymonth throughout the year, each company consisting of twenty-four thousand men:	1 وبنو اسرائيل حسب عددهم من رؤوس الآباء ورؤساء الالوف والمئات وعرفائهم الذين يخدمون الملك في كل امور الفرق الداخلين والخارجين شهرا فشهرا لكل شهور السنة كل فرقة كانت اربعة وعشرين الفا.
2 The commander of the first company detailed for the first month was Jashobeam son of Zabdiel,whose company consisted of twenty-four thousand men.	2 على الفرقة الاولى للشهر الاول يشبعام بن زبديئيل وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا.
3 He belonged to the family of Perez and was the senior military officer of al those detailed for the firstmonth.	3 من بني فارص كان راس جميع رؤساء الجيوش للشهر الاول.
4 The commander of the company for the second month was Dodai the Ahohite, whose companyconsisted of twenty-four thousand men.	4 وعلى فرقة الشهر الثاني دوداي الاخوخي ومن فرقته مقلوث الرئيس. وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا.
5 The officer commanding the third body of men for the third month was Benaiah son of Jehoiada, thechief priest, whose company consisted of twenty-four thousand men.	5 رئيس الجيش الثالث للشهر الثالث بنايا بن يهوياداع الكاهن الراس وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا.
6 This was the Benaiah who was an important member of the Thirty and his company. His son wasAmmizabad.	6 هو بنايا جبار الثلاثين وعلى الثلاثين ومن فرقته عميزاباد ابنه.
7 The fourth for the fourth month was Asahel brother of Joab, and his son Zebadiah after him, whosecompany consisted of twenty-four thousand men.	7 الرابع للشهر الرابع عسائيل اخو يوآب وزبديا ابنه بعده وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا.
8 The fifth officer commanding for the fifth month was Shamhuth the Zerahite, whose companyconsisted of twenty-four thousand men.	8 الخامس للشهر الخامس الرئيس شمحوث اليزراحي وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا.
9 The sixth for the sixth month was Ira son of Ikkesh of Tekoa, whose company consisted of twenty-fourthousand men.	9 السادس للشهر السادس عيرا بن عقّيش التقوعي وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا.
10 The seventh for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, one of the Ephraimites, whose companyconsisted of twenty-four thousand men.	10 السابع للشهر السابع حالص الفلوني من بني افرايم وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا.
11 The eighth for the eighth month was Sibbecai of Hushah, a Zerahite, whose company consisted oftwenty-four thousand men.	11 الثامن للشهر الثامن سبكاي الحوشاتي من الزارحيين وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا
12 The ninth for the ninth month was Abiezer of Anathoth, a Benjaminite, whose company consisted oftwenty-four thousand men.	12 التاسع للشهر التاسع ابيعزر العناثوثي من بنيامين وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا.
13 The tenth for the tenth month was Maharai of Netophah, a Zerahite, whose company consisted oftwenty-four thousand men.	13 العاشر للشهر العاشر مهراي النطوفاتي من الزارحيين وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا.
14 The eleventh for the eleventh month was Benaiah of Pirathon, an Ephraimite, whose companyconsisted of twenty-four thousand men.	14 الحادي عشر للشهر الحادي عشر بنايا الفرعتوني من بني افرايم وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا.
15 The twelfth for the twelfth month was Heldai of Netophah, of Othniel, whose company consisted oftwenty-four thousand men.	15 الثاني عشر للشهر الثاني عشر خلداي النطوفاتي من عثنيئيل وفي فرقته اربعة وعشرون الفا
16 Responsible for the tribes of Israel were chief Eliezer son of Zichri for the Reubenites, Shephatiahson of Maacah for the Simeonites,	16 وعلى اسباط اسرائيل. للرأوبينيين الرئيس أليعزر بن زكري. للشمعونيين شفطيا بن معكة.
17 Hashabiah son of Kemuel for the Levites, Zadok for the Aaronites,	17 للاويين حشبيا بن قموئيل. لهرون صادوق.
18 Elihu, one of David's brothers, for Judah, Omri son of Michael for Issachar,	18 ليهوذا اليهو من اخوة داود. ليساكر عمري بن ميخائيل.
19 Ishmaiah son of Obadiah for Zebulun, Jerimoth son of Azriel for Naphtali,	19 لزبولون يشمعيا بن عوبديا. لنفتالي يريموث بن عزرئيل.
20 Hoshea son of Azaziah for the Ephraimites, Joel son of Pedaiah for the half-tribe of Manasseh,	20 لبني افرايم هوشع بن عزريا. لنصف سبط منسّى يوئيل بن فدايا.
21 Iddo son of Zechariah for the half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Jaasiel son of Abner for Benjamin,	21 لنصف سبط منسّى في جلعاد يدّو بن زكريا. لبنيامين يعسيئيل بن ابنير.
22 and Azarel son of Jeroham for Dan. These were the tribal chiefs of Israel.	22 لدان عزرئيل بن يروحام. هؤلاء رؤساء اسباط اسرائيل.
23 Now in the census David did not include those who were twenty years old and under, since Yahwehhad promised to make Israel as numerous as the stars of heaven.	23 ولم ياخذ داود عددهم من ابن عشرين سنة فما دون. لان الرب قال انه يكثر اسرائيل كنجوم السماء.
24 Joab son of Zeruiah began the count but never finished. This is why retribution came upon Israel,and the number did not come up to that recorded in the annals of King David.	24 يوآب بن صروية ابتدأ يحصي ولم يكمل لانه كان من جرى ذلك سخط على اسرائيل ولم يدوّن العدد في سفر اخبار الايام للملك داود
25 Overseer of the king's supplies: Azmaveth son of Adiel. Overseer of supplies in the countryside,towns, vil ages and fortresses: Jonathan son of Uzziah.	25 وعلى خزائن الملك عزموت بن عديئيل. وعلى الخزائن في الحقل في المدن والقرى والحصون يهوناثان بن عزيا.
26 Overseer of the farmers who til ed the land: Ezri son of Chelub.	26 وعلى الفعلة في الحقل لشغل الارض عزري بن كلوب.
27 Overseer of vineyards: Shimei of Ramah. Overseer of those in the vineyards who looked after thewine cellars: Zabdi of Shepham.	27 وعلى الكروم شمعي الرامي. وعلى ما في الكروم من خزائن الخمر زبدي الشفمي.
28 Overseer of olive and sycamore trees in the Shephelah: Baal-Hanan of Geder. Overseer of oilsupplies: Joash.	28 وعلى الزيتون والجميز اللذين في السهل بعل حانان الجديري وعلى خزائن الزيت يوعاش.
29 Overseer of cattle at pasture in the plains of Sharon: Shitrai of Sharon. Overseer of cattle in theval eys: Shaphat son of Adlai.	29 وعلى البقر السائم في شارون شطراي الشاروني. وعلى البقر الذي في الاودية شافاط بن عدلاي.
30 Overseer of camels: Obil the Ishmaelite.	30 وعلى الجمال اوبيل الاسمعيلي. وعلى الحمير يحديا الميرونوثي.
31 Overseer of donkeys: Jehdeiah of Meranoth. Overseer of flocks: Jaziz the Hagrite. Al the abovesupervised the property belonging to King David.	31 وعلى الغنم يازيز الهاجري. كل هؤلاء رؤساء الاملاك التي للملك داود.
32 Jonathan, David's uncle, a council or, wise man and scribe, and Jehiel son of Hachmoni took care ofthe king's sons.	32 ويهوناثان عم داود كان مشيرا ورجلا مختبرا وفقيها. ويحيئيل بن حكموني كان مع بني الملك.
33 Ahitophel was the king's counsellor and Hushai, the Archite, was Friend of the King.	33 وكان اخيتوفل مشيرا للملك وحوشاي الاركي صاحب الملك.
34 Jehoiada son of Benaiah and Abiathar succeeded Ahitophel -- Joab was commander of the king'sarmy.	34 وبعد اخيتوفيل يهوياداع بن بنايا وابياثار. وكان رئيس جيش الملك يوآب
