1 The Israelites listed according to heads of families, commanders of thousands and hundreds, withtheir officials in the king's service who dealt with al matters affecting the companies on monthly duty, month bymonth throughout the year, each company consisting of twenty-four thousand men:	1 ORA quant’è a’ figliuoli d’Israele, secondo le lor descrizioni per capi di famiglie paterne, e capitani di migliaia, e di centinaia, ed i loro ufficiali, ogni spartimento di coloro che servivano al re secondo tutto l’ordine degli spartimenti, de’ quali ciascuno entrava ed usciva di mese in mese, per tutti i mesi dell’anno era di ventiquattromila uomini.
2 The commander of the first company detailed for the first month was Jashobeam son of Zabdiel,whose company consisted of twenty-four thousand men.	2 Iasobam, figliuolo di Zabdiel, era sopra il primo spartimento, per lo primo mese; e nel suo spartimento v’erano ventiquattromila uomini.
3 He belonged to the family of Perez and was the senior military officer of al those detailed for the firstmonth.	3 Egli era il capo sopra tutti i capitani del primo mese; ed era de’ figliuoli di Fares.
4 The commander of the company for the second month was Dodai the Ahohite, whose companyconsisted of twenty-four thousand men.	4 E sopra lo spartimento del secondo mese era Dodai Ahoheo; e nel suo spartimento, nel quale v’erano ventiquattromila uomini, Miclot era il conduttore.
5 The officer commanding the third body of men for the third month was Benaiah son of Jehoiada, thechief priest, whose company consisted of twenty-four thousand men.	5 Il capo del terzo esercito, per lo terzo mese, era Benaia, figliuolo di Gioiada, principale ufficiale; ed egli era capitano in capo; e nel suo spartimento vi erano ventiquattromila uomini.
6 This was the Benaiah who was an important member of the Thirty and his company. His son wasAmmizabad.	6 Questo Benaia era uomo prode fra i trenta, ed era sopra i trenta; ed Ammizzabad, suo figliuolo, era sopra lo spartimento di esso.
7 The fourth for the fourth month was Asahel brother of Joab, and his son Zebadiah after him, whosecompany consisted of twenty-four thousand men.	7 Il quarto, per lo quarto mese, era Asael, fratello di Ioab; e, dopo lui, Zebadia, suo figliuolo; e nel suo spartimento v’erano ventiquattromila uomini.
8 The fifth officer commanding for the fifth month was Shamhuth the Zerahite, whose companyconsisted of twenty-four thousand men.	8 Il quinto capo, per lo quinto mese, era Samhut Israhita; e nel suo spartimento v’erano ventiquattromila uomini.
9 The sixth for the sixth month was Ira son of Ikkesh of Tekoa, whose company consisted of twenty-fourthousand men.	9 Il sesto, per lo sesto mese, era Ira, figliuolo d’Icches Tecoita; e nel suo spartimento v’erano ventiquattromila uomini.
10 The seventh for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, one of the Ephraimites, whose companyconsisted of twenty-four thousand men.	10 Il settimo, per lo settimo mese, era Heles Pelonita, de’ figliuoli di Efraim; e nel suo spartimento v’erano ventiquattromila uomini.
11 The eighth for the eighth month was Sibbecai of Hushah, a Zerahite, whose company consisted oftwenty-four thousand men.	11 L’ottavo, per l’ottavo mese, era Sibbecai Husatita, della nazione de’ Zarhiti; e nel suo spartimento v’erano ventiquattromila uomini.
12 The ninth for the ninth month was Abiezer of Anathoth, a Benjaminite, whose company consisted oftwenty-four thousand men.	12 Il nono, per lo nono mese, era Abiezer Anatotita, de’ figliuoli di Beniamino; e nel suo spartimento v’erano ventiquattromila uomini.
13 The tenth for the tenth month was Maharai of Netophah, a Zerahite, whose company consisted oftwenty-four thousand men.	13 Il decimo, per lo decimo mese, era Maharai Netofatita, della nazione dei Zarhiti; e nel suo spartimento vi erano ventiquattromila uomini.
14 The eleventh for the eleventh month was Benaiah of Pirathon, an Ephraimite, whose companyconsisted of twenty-four thousand men.	14 L’undecimo, per l’undecimo mese, era Benaia Piratonita, de’ figliuoli di Efraim; e nel suo spartimento v’erano ventiquattromila uomini.
15 The twelfth for the twelfth month was Heldai of Netophah, of Othniel, whose company consisted oftwenty-four thousand men.	15 Il duodecimo, per lo duodecimo mese, era Heldai Netofatita, della progenie di Otniel; e nel suo spartimento v’erano ventiquattromila uomini
16 Responsible for the tribes of Israel were chief Eliezer son of Zichri for the Reubenites, Shephatiahson of Maacah for the Simeonites,	16 OLTRE a ciò, vi erano de’ conduttori sopra le tribù d’Israele; Eliezer, figliuolo di Zicri, era conduttore dei Rubeniti; Sefatia, figliuolo di Maaca, dei Simeoniti;

22 and Azarel son of Jeroham for Dan. These were the tribal chiefs of Israel.	22 Azareel, figliuolo di Ieroham, de’ Daniti. Questi furono i capi principali delle tribù d’Israele.
23 Now in the census David did not include those who were twenty years old and under, since Yahwehhad promised to make Israel as numerous as the stars of heaven.	23 E Davide non levò il numero di essi dall’età di vent’anni in giù; perciocchè il Signore avea detto d’accrescere Israele come le stelle del cielo.
24 Joab son of Zeruiah began the count but never finished. This is why retribution came upon Israel,and the number did not come up to that recorded in the annals of King David.	24 Ioab, figliuolo di Seruia, avea ben cominciato ad annoverare così il popolo, ma non finì; e per questo vi fu indegnazione contro ad Israele; laonde quella descrizione non fu messa fra le descrizioni poste ne’ registri del re Davide.
25 Overseer of the king's supplies: Azmaveth son of Adiel. Overseer of supplies in the countryside,towns, vil ages and fortresses: Jonathan son of Uzziah.	25 ED Azmavet, figliuolo di Adiel, era sopra i tesori del re; e Gionatan, figliuolo di Uzzia, era sopra i tesori della campagna, nelle città, nelle villate, e nelle castella;
26 Overseer of the farmers who til ed the land: Ezri son of Chelub.	26 ed Ezri, figliuolo di Chelub, era sopra quelli che lavoravano nella campagna nel lavoro della terra;
27 Overseer of vineyards: Shimei of Ramah. Overseer of those in the vineyards who looked after thewine cellars: Zabdi of Shepham.	27 e Simi Ramatita era sopra le vigne; e Zabdi Sifmita era sopra i cellieri ch’erano nei vignai, e sopra le conserve del vino;
28 Overseer of olive and sycamore trees in the Shephelah: Baal-Hanan of Geder. Overseer of oilsupplies: Joash.	28 e Baal-hanan Ghederita, era sopra gli ulivi, e sopra i fichi, ch’erano nella campagna; e Gioas era sopra i cellieri dell’olio;
29 Overseer of cattle at pasture in the plains of Sharon: Shitrai of Sharon. Overseer of cattle in theval eys: Shaphat son of Adlai.	29 e Sitrai Saronita era sopra gli armenti che pascevano in Saron; e Safat, figliuolo di Adlai, era sopra gli armenti che pascevano nelle valli;
