NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 The Israelites listed according to heads of families, commanders of thousands and hundreds, withtheir officials in the king's service who dealt with al matters affecting the companies on monthly duty, month bymonth throughout the year, each company consisting of twenty-four thousand men:	1 Les Israélites d'après leur nombre: Chefs de familles, officiers de milliers et de centaines etleurs scribes au service du roi, pour tout ce qui concernait les classes en activité pour un mois, tous les mois del'année. Chaque classe était de 24.000 hommes.
2 The commander of the first company detailed for the first month was Jashobeam son of Zabdiel,whose company consisted of twenty-four thousand men.	2 Le responsable de la première classe, affecté au premier mois, était Yashobéam, fils deZabdiel. Il était responsable d'une classe de 24.000 hommes.
3 He belonged to the family of Perez and was the senior military officer of al those detailed for the firstmonth.	3 C'était l'un des fils de Pérèç, chef de tous les officiers du corps affecté au premier mois.

24 Joab son of Zeruiah began the count but never finished. This is why retribution came upon Israel,and the number did not come up to that recorded in the annals of King David.	24 Joab, fils de Ceruya, commença à faire le compte, mais ne l'acheva pas. 32 Jonathan, David's uncle, a council or, wise man and scribe, and Jehiel son of Hachmoni took care ofthe king's sons.	32 Yehonatân, oncle de David, conseiller, homme avisé, et scribe, s'occupait des enfants du roiavec Yehiel, fils d'Hakmoni.
33 Ahitophel was the king's counsellor and Hushai, the Archite, was Friend of the King.	33 Ahitophel était conseiller du roi. Hushaï l'Arkite était ami du roi.
34 Jehoiada son of Benaiah and Abiathar succeeded Ahitophel -- Joab was commander of the king'sarmy.	34 Yehoyada, fils de Benayahu, et Ebyatar succédèrent à Ahitophel. Joab était le général desarmées du roi.
