NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 In the seventeenth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Uzziah son of Amaziah became king of Judah.	1 في السنة السابعة والعشرين ليربعام ملك اسرائيل ملك عزريا بن امصيا ملك يهوذا.
2 He was sixteen years old when he came to the throne, and he reigned for fifty-two years in Jerusalem.His mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.	2 كان ابن ست عشرة سنة حين ملك وملك اثنتين وخمسين سنة في اورشليم. واسم امه يكليا من اورشليم.
3 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Amaziah had done.	3 وعمل ما هو مستقيم في عيني الرب حسب كل ما عمل امصيا ابوه.
4 The high places, however, were not abolished, and the people stil offered sacrifices and incense onthe high places.	4 ولكن المرتفعات لم تنتزع بل كان الشعب لا يزالون يذبحون ويوقدون على المرتفعات.
5 But Yahweh struck the king, and he was afflicted with a virulent skin-disease til his dying day. He livedconfined to his room, while Jotham the king's son, who was master of the palace, governed the country.	5 وضرب الرب الملك فكان ابرص الى يوم وفاته واقام في بيت المرض وكان يوثام ابن الملك على البيت يحكم على شعب الارض.
6 The rest of the history of Uzziah, his entire career, is this not recorded in the Book of the Annals of theKings of Judah?	6 وبقية امور عزريا وكل ما عمل أما هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك يهوذا.
7 Then Uzziah fel asleep with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David; his son Jotham thensucceeded him.	7 ثم اضطجع عزريا مع آبائه فدفنوه مع آبائه في مدينة داود وملك يوثام ابنه عوضا عنه
8 In the thirty-eighth year of Uzziah king of Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam became king of Israel inSamaria for six months.	8 في السنة الثامنة والثلاثين لعزريا ملك يهوذا ملك زكريا بن يربعام على اسرائيل في السامرة ستة اشهر.
9 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh, as his fathers had done; he did not give up the sins into whichJeroboam son of Nebat had led Israel. Shal um son of Jabesh plotted against him, murdered him at Ibleam,	9 وعمل الشر في عيني الرب كما عمل آباؤه. لم يحد عن خطايا يربعام بن نباط الذي جعل اسرائيل يخطئ.
10 and succeeded him.	10 ففتن عليه شلوم بن يابيش وضربه امام الشعب فقتله وملك عوضا عنه.
11 The rest of the history of Zechariah is recorded in the Book of Annals of the Kings of Israel.	11 وبقية امور زكريا هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.
12 This was the word which Yahweh had spoken to Jehu, 'Your sons will sit on the throne of Israel to thefourth generation.' And so it turned out.	12 ذلك كلام الرب الذي كلم به ياهو قائلا بنو الجيل الرابع يجلسون لك على كرسي اسرائيل. وهكذا كان
13 Shal um son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah and reigned forone month in Samaria.	13 شلّوم بن يابيش ملك في السنة التاسعة والثلاثين لعزّيا ملك يهوذا وملك شهر ايام في السامرة.
14 Then Menahem son of Gadi marched from Tirzah, entered Samaria, murdered Shal um son of Jabeshthere and succeeded him.	14 وصعد منحيم بن جادي من ترصة وجاء الى السامرة وضرب شلّوم بن يابيش في السامرة فقتله وملك عوضا عنه.
15 The rest of the history of Shallum, and the plot he hatched, is recorded in the Book of the Annals ofthe Kings of Israel.	15 وبقية امور شلّوم وفتنته التي فتنها هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.
16 Menahem then sacked Tappuah -- kil ing all who were in it -- and its territory from Tirzah onwards,because it had not opened its gates to him; he sacked the town and disembowel ed al the pregnant women.	16 حينئذ ضرب منحيم تفصح وكل ما بها وتخومها من ترصة لانهم لم يفتحوا له ضربها وشق جميع حواملها
17 In the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king of Israel. Hereigned for ten years in Samaria.	17 في السنة التاسعة والثلاثين لعزريا ملك يهوذا ملك منحيم بن جادي على اسرائيل في السامرة عشر سنين
18 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh, he did not give up the sins into which Jeroboam son of Nebathad led Israel. In his days	18 وعمل الشر في عيني الرب. لم يحد عن خطايا يربعام بن نباط الذي جعل اسرائيل يخطئ كل ايامه.
19 Pul king of Assyria invaded the country. Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver in return for his support in strengthening his hold on the royal power.	19 فجاء فول ملك اشور على الارض فاعطى منحيم لفول الف وزنة من الفضة لتكون يداه معه ليثبت المملكة في يده.
20 Menahem levied this sum from Israel, from al the men of rank, at the rate of fifty shekels a head, tobe given to the king of Assyria, who then withdrew and did not stay in the country.	20 ووضع منحيم الفضة على اسرائيل على جميع جبابرة البأس ليدفع لملك اشور خمسين شاقل فضة على كل رجل. فرجع ملك اشور ولم يقم هناك في الارض.
21 The rest of the history of Menahem, his entire career, is this not recorded in the Book of the Annals ofthe Kings of Israel?	21 وبقية امور منحيم وكل ما عمل أما هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.
22 Then Menahem fell asleep with his ancestors; his son Pekahiah succeeded him.	22 ثم اضطجع منحيم مع آبائه وملك فقحيا ابنه عوضا عنه
23 In the fiftieth year of Uzziah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king of Israel inSamaria. He reigned for two years.	23 في السنة الخمسين لعزريا ملك يهوذا ملك فقحيا بن منحيم على اسرائيل في السامرة سنتين.
24 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh; he did not give up the sins into which Jeroboam son of Nebathad led Israel.	24 وعمل الشر في عيني الرب. لم يحد عن خطايا يربعام بن نباط الذي جعل اسرائيل يخطئ.
25 Pekah son of Remaliah, his equerry, plotted against him and assassinated him in the palace keep . . .He had fifty Gileadites with him. He kil ed the king and succeeded him.	25 ففتن عليه فقح بن رمليا ثالثه وضربه في السامرة في قصر بيت الملك مع ارجوب ومع أريه ومعه خمسون رجلا من بني الجلعاديين. قتله وملك عوضا عنه.

27 In the fifty-second year of Uzziah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king of Israel inSamaria. He reigned for twenty years.	27 في السنة الثانية والخمسين لعزريا ملك يهوذا ملك فقح بن رمليا على اسرائيل في السامرة عشرين سنة.
28 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh; he did not give up the sins into which Jeroboam son of Nebathad led Israel.	28 وعمل الشر في عيني الرب. لم يحد عن خطايا يربعام بن نباط الذي جعل اسرائيل يخطئ.
29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon, Abel-Beth-Maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor, Gilead and Galilee -- the whole territory of Naphtali and deported thepopulation to Assyria.	29 في ايام فقح ملك اسرائيل جاء تغلث فلاسر ملك اشور واخذ عيون وآبل بيت معكة ويانوح وقادش وحاصور وجلعاد والجليل كل ارض نفتالي وسباهم الى اشور.
30 Hoshea son of Elah hatched a plot against Pekah son of Remaliah; he murdered the king andsucceeded him.	30 وفتن هوشع بن ايلة على فقح بن رمليا وضربه فقتله وملك عوضا عنه في السنة العشرين ليوثام بن عزّيا.
31 The rest of the history of Pekah, his entire career, is recorded in the Book of the Annals of the Kingsof Israel.	31 وبقية امور فقح وكل ما عمل هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.
32 In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah became king ofJudah.	32 في السنة الثانية لفقح بن رمليا ملك اسرائيل ملك يوثام بن عزّيا ملك يهوذا.
33 He was twenty-five years old when he came to the throne, and he reigned for sixteen years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok.	33 كان ابن خمس وعشرين سنة حين ملك وملك ست عشرة سنة في اورشليم واسم امه يروشا ابنة صادوق.
34 He did what Yahweh regards as right, just as his father Uzziah had done.	34 وعمل ما هو مستقيم في عيني الرب. عمل حسب كل ما عمل عزّيا ابوه.
35 The high places, however, were not abolished, and the people stil offered sacrifices and incense onthe high places. It was he who built the Upper Gate of the Temple of Yahweh.	35 الا ان المرتفعات لم تنتزع بل كان الشعب لا يزالون يذبحون ويوقدون على المرتفعات. هو بنى الباب الأعلى لبيت الرب.

37 At that time Yahweh began sending Razon king of Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.	37 في تلك الايام ابتدأ الرب يرسل على يهوذا رصين ملك ارام وفقح بن رمليا.
38 Then Jotham fel asleep with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David, his ancestor; his sonAhaz succeeded him.	38 واضطجع يوثام مع آبائه ودفن مع آبائه في مدينة داود ابيه وملك آحاز ابنه عوضا عنه
