2 Samuel 22

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 David addressed the words of this song to Yahweh, when Yahweh had delivered him from theclutches of all his enemies and from the clutches of Saul.	1 Davi dirigiu ao Senhor as palavras do cântico que segue, no dia em que o Senhor o livrou da mão de todos os seus inimigos e da mão de Saul.
2 He said: Yahweh is my rock and my fortress,	2 O Senhor é o meu rochedo, minha fortaleza e meu libertador,
3 my deliverer is my God. I take refuge in him, my rock, my shield, my saving strength, my stronghold,my place of refuge. My Saviour, you have saved me from violence;	3 meu Deus é a minha rocha onde encontro o meu refúgio, meu escudo e força de minha salvação, minha cidadela e meu refúgio. Meu salvador, que me salvais da violência.
4 I cal to Yahweh, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my foes.	4 Invoco o Senhor digno de todo louvor, e fico livre dos meus inimigos.
5 With Death's breakers closing in on me, Belial's torrents ready to swal ow me,	5 Circundavam-me os vagalhões da morte, torrentes devastadoras me atemorizavam,
6 Sheol's snares on every side of me, Death's traps lying ahead of me,	6 enlaçavam-se as cadeias da habitação dos mortos, a própria morte me prendia em suas redes.
7 I cal ed to Yahweh in my anguish, I cried for help to my God, from his Temple he heard my voice, mycry came to his ears!	7 Na minha angústia, invoquei ao Senhor, gritei para meu Deus: do seu templo ele ouviu a minha voz, e o meu clamor chegou aos seus ouvidos.
8 Then the earth quaked and rocked, the heavens' foundations shuddered, they quaked at his blazinganger.	8 A terra vacilou e tremeu, os fundamentos dos céus fremiram, abalaram-se, porque Deus se abrasou em cólera:
9 Smoke rose from his nostrils, from his mouth devouring fire (coals were kindled at it).	9 suas narinas exalavam fumaça, sua boca, fogo devorador, brasas incandescentes.
10 He parted the heavens and came down, a storm-cloud underneath his feet;	10 Ele inclinou os céus e desceu, calcando aos pés escuras nuvens,
11 riding one of the winged creatures, he flew, soaring on the wings of the wind.	11 cavalgou sobre um querubim e voou, planando nas asas do vento.
12 He wrapped himself in darkness, his pavilion dark waters and dense cloud.	12 Envolveu-se nas trevas como numa tenda, nas águas tenebrosas, densas nuvens.
13 A brightness lit up before him, hail and blazing fire.	13 Do esplendor de sua presença flamejaram centelhas de fogo,
14 Yahweh thundered from the heavens, the Most High made his voice heard.	14 dos céus trovejou o Senhor, o Altíssimo fez ressoar a sua. voz,
15 He shot his arrows and scattered them, his lightning flashed and routed them.	15 lançou setas e dispersou os inimigos, fulminou relâmpagos e os desbaratou.
16 The very springs of ocean were exposed, the world's foundations were laid bare, at the roaring ofYahweh, at the blast of breath from his nostrils!	16 E apareceu descoberto o leito do mar, os fundamentos da terra, ante a voz ameaçadora do Senhor, ante o furacão de sua cólera.
17 He reached down from on high, snatched me up, pul ed me from the watery depths,	17 Do alto estendeu a sua mão e me pegou, e retirou-me das águas profundas,
18 rescued me from my mighty foe, from my enemies who were stronger than I.	18 livrou-me de inimigo poderoso, dos meus adversários, mais fortes do que eu.
19 They assailed me on my day of disaster, but Yahweh was there to support me,	19 Investiram contra mim no dia do meu infortúnio, mas o Senhor foi o meu arrimo,
20 he freed me, set me at large, he rescued me, because he loves me.	20 pôs-me a salvo e livrou-me, porque me ama.
21 Yahweh rewards me for my uprightness, as my hands are pure so he repays me,	21 O Senhor me tratou segundo a minha inocência, retribuiu-me segundo a pureza de minhas mãos,
22 since I have kept the ways of Yahweh, and not fal en away from my God.	22 porque guardei os caminhos do Senhor e não pequei separando-me do meu Deus;
23 His judgements are al before me, his statutes I have not put away from me;	23 Tenho diante dos olhos todos os seus preceitos e não me desvio de suas leis.
24 I am blameless before him, I keep myself clear of evil.	24 Ando irrepreensivelmente diante dele, guardando-me do meu pecado.
25 Hence Yahweh repaid me for acting uprightly because he could see I was pure.	25 O Senhor retribuiu-me segundo a minha justiça, segundo a minha pureza diante dos seus olhos.
26 Faithful you are to the faithful, blameless with the blameless,	26 Com quem é bondoso vos mostrais bondoso, com homem íntegro vos mostrais íntegro,
27 sincere to the sincere but cunning to the crafty,	27 puro, com quem é puro; prudente, com quem é astuto.
28 you save a people that is humble and humiliate those with haughty looks.	28 Aos humildes salvais; os semblantes soberbos humilhais.
29 Yahweh, you yourself are my lamp, my God lights up my darkness;	29 Senhor, sois meu farol; é o Senhor quem dissipa as minhas trevas.
30 with you I storm the rampart with my God I can scale any wal .	30 Convosco afrontarei batalhões; com meu Deus escalarei muralhas.
31 This God, his way is blameless; the word of Yahweh is refined in the furnace, for he alone is theshield of al who take refuge in him.	31 Os caminhos de Deus são perfeitos; a palavra do Senhor é pura. Ele é o escudo de todos os que nele se refugiam.
32 For who is God but Yahweh, who is a rock but our God:	32 Pois, quem é Deus senão o Senhor? Quem é o rochedo, senão o nosso Deus?
33 this God who girds me with strength, who makes my way free from blame,	33 É Deus quem me cinge de coragem e aplana o meu caminho.
34 who makes me as swift as a deer and sets me firmly on the heights,	34 Torna os meus pés velozes como os das gazelas e me instala nas alturas.
35 who trains my hands for battle my arms to bend a bow of bronze.	35 Adestra minhas mãos para o combate e meus braços para o tiro de arco.
36 You give me your invincible shield, you never cease to listen to me,	36 Vós me dais o escudo que me salva, e vossa bondade me engrandece.
37 you give me the strides of a giant, give me ankles that never weaken-	37 Alargais o caminho a meus passos para meus pés não resvalarem.
38 I pursue my enemies and exterminate them, not turning back till they are annihilated;	38 Dou caça aos inimigos e os extermino. E não volto sem que os tenha aniquilado.
39 I strike them down, and they cannot rise, they fal , they are under my feet.	39 De tal sorte os aniquilo e despedaço, que não mais se levantam: eles ficam caídos a meus pés.
40 You have girded me with strength for the fight, bent down my assailants beneath me,	40 Vós me cingis de coragem para a luta e ante mim dobrais os meus adversários.
41 made my enemies retreat before me; and those who hate me I destroy.	41 Afugentais da minha presença os meus inimigos. E reduzo ao silêncio os que me aborrecem.
42 They cry out, there is no one to save, to Yahweh, but no answer comes.	42 Gritam por socorro, mas não há quem os salve, clamam ao Senhor, mas não responde...
43 I crumble them like the dust of the squares, trample them like the mud of the streets.	43 Eu os trituro como ao pó da terra. E os esmago aos pés como ao barro das estradas.
44 You free me from the quarrels of my people, you place me at the head of the nations, a people I didnot know are now my servants,	44 Vós me livrais das revoltas do meu povo e me guardais à frente das nações. Povos que eu desconhecia se tornaram meus servos.
45 foreigners come wooing my favour, no sooner do they hear than they obey me,	45 Gente estranha me serve abnegadamente e obedecem-me à primeira intimação.
46 foreigners grow faint of heart, they come trembling out of their fastnesses.	46 Gente estranha desfalece e sai tremendo de seus esconderijos.
47 Life to Yahweh! Blessed be my rock! Exalted be the God of my salvation,	47 Viva o Senhor e bendito seja o meu rochedo! Exaltado seja Deus, rocha que me salva!
48 the God who gives me vengeance and crushes the peoples under me,	48 Deus, que me proporciona a vingança e avassala nações a meus pés.
49 who takes me away from my enemies. You lift me high above those who attack me, you deliver mefrom the man of violence.	49 Sois vós quem me libertais dos meus inimigos, e me exaltais acima dos meus adversários, e me salvais do homem violento.
50 For this I wil praise you, Yahweh, among the nations, and sing praise to your name.	50 Por isso vos louvarei, ó Senhor, entre as nações e celebrarei o vosso nome.
51 He saves his king, time after time, displays faithful love for his anointed, for David and his heirs forever.	51 Ele prepara grandes vitórias a seu rei e faz misericórdia a seu ungido. A Davi e a sua descendência para sempre.
