NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 So Israel set out with al his possessions. Arriving at Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of hisfather Isaac.	1 Israele adunque partì con tutto quello che aveva, e giunse al Pozzo del giuramento, ove offrì sacrifizi al Dio del suo padre Isacco.
2 God spoke to Israel in a vision at night, 'Jacob, Jacob,' he said. 'Here I am,' he replied.	2 E nella visione della notte sentì Dio che lo chiamava e gli diceva: « Giacobbe, Giacobbe! » Avendo egli risposto: « Eccomi »,
3 'I am El, God of your father,' he said. 'Do not be afraid of going down to Egypt, for I will make you intoa great nation there.	3 Dio gli di se: « Io sono il fortissimo Dio di tuo padre: non temere: va pure in Egitto, chè là ti farò diventare una grande nazione.
4 I shal go down to Egypt with you and I myself shall bring you back again, and Joseph's hand wilclose your eyes.'	4 Io vi discenderò teco, e di là ti ricondurrò quando ritornerai, e Giuseppe colle sue mani ti chiuderà gli occhi ».
5 So Jacob left Beersheba. Israel's sons conveyed their father Jacob, their little children and their wivesin the waggons Pharaoh had sent to fetch him.	5 E Giacobbe partì dal Pozzo del giuramento, e i suoi figli lo misero, coi bambini e colle donne, sui carri mandati da Faraone, per trasportare il vecchio

21 The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim and Ard.	21 I figli di Beniamino: Bela, Becor, Asbel, Gera, Naaman, Echi, Ros, Mofìm, Ofìm e Ared.
22 These were the sons that Rachel bore to Jacob -- fourteen persons in al .	22 Questi sono i figli di Rachele che nacquero a Giacobbe: in tutto quattordici persone.
23 The sons of Dan: Hushim.	23 I figli di Dan: Husim.

29 Joseph had his chariot made ready and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel. As soon as heappeared he threw his arms round his neck and for a long time wept on his shoulder.	29 E quando vi fu arrivato, Giuseppe, fatto attaccare il suo cocchio, andò incontro al padre in Gessen, e quando lo vide si abbandonò sul collo di lui, lo abbracciò e pianse.
30 Israel said to Joseph, 'Now I can die, now that I have seen you in person and seen you stil alive.'	30 E il padre disse a Giuseppe: « Ora posso morir contento, perchè ho veduto la tua faccia e ti lascio dopo di me! »
31 Then Joseph said to his brothers and his father's family, 'I shall go back and break the news toPharaoh. I shall tel him, "My brothers and my father's family who were in Canaan have come to me.	31 Poi Giuseppe disse ai suoi fratelli e a tutta la famiglia di suo padre: « Andrò ad informare Faraone, e gli dirò: I miei fratelli e la famiglia di mio padre, che erano nella terra di Canaan, sono venuti da me.
32 The men are shepherds and look after livestock, and they have brought their flocks and cattle and altheir possessions."	32 Essi sono pastori ed attendono all'allevamento del bestiame: han quindi condotto seco i greggi, gli armenti e quanto potevano avere.
