Genesis 46

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 So Israel set out with al his possessions. Arriving at Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of hisfather Isaac.	1 فارتحل اسرائيل وكل ما كان له وأتى الى بئر سبع. وذبح ذبائح لاله ابيه اسحق.
2 God spoke to Israel in a vision at night, 'Jacob, Jacob,' he said. 'Here I am,' he replied.	2 فكلم الله اسرائيل في رؤى الليل وقال يعقوب يعقوب. فقال هانذا.
3 'I am El, God of your father,' he said. 'Do not be afraid of going down to Egypt, for I will make you intoa great nation there.	3 فقال انا الله اله ابيك. لا تخف من النزول الى مصر. لاني اجعلك امة عظيمة هناك.
4 I shal go down to Egypt with you and I myself shall bring you back again, and Joseph's hand wilclose your eyes.'	4 انا انزل معك الى مصر وانا اصعدك ايضا. ويضع يوسف يده على عينيك
5 So Jacob left Beersheba. Israel's sons conveyed their father Jacob, their little children and their wivesin the waggons Pharaoh had sent to fetch him.	5 فقام يعقوب من بئر سبع. وحمل بنو اسرائيل يعقوب اباهم واولادهم ونساءهم في العجلات التي ارسل فرعون لحمله.
6 Taking their livestock and all that they had acquired in Canaan, they arrived in Egypt -- Jacob and alhis offspring.	6 واخذوا مواشيهم ومقتناهم الذي اقتنوا في ارض كنعان وجاءوا الى مصر. يعقوب وكل نسله معه.
7 With him to Egypt, he brought his sons and grandsons, his daughters and granddaughters -- al hisoffspring.	7 بنوه وبنو بنيه معه وبناته وبنات بنيه وكل نسله جاء بهم معه الى مصر
8 These were the names of the Israelites, Jacob and his descendants, who arrived in Egypt: Reuben,Jacob's first-born,	8 وهذه اسماء بني اسرائيل الذين جاءوا الى مصر. يعقوب وبنوه. بكر يعقوب رأوبين.
9 and the sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pal u, Hezron and Carmi.	9 وبنو رأوبين حنوك وفلّو وحصرون وكرمي.
10 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul the son of the Canaanitewoman.	10 وبنو شمعون يموئيل ويامين وأوهد وياكين وصوحر وشأول ابن الكنعانية.
11 The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath and Merari.	11 وبنو لاوي جرشون وقهات ومراري.
12 The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah (Er and Onan had died in Canaan), andHezron and Hamul sons of Perez.	12 وبنو يهوذا عير وأونان وشيلة وفارص وزارح. واما عير وأونان فماتا في ارض كنعان. وكان ابنا فارص حصرون وحامول.
13 The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, Jashub and Shimron.	13 وبنو يساكر تولاع وفوّة ويوب وشمرون.
14 The sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon and Jahleel.	14 وبنو زبولون سارد وإيلون وياحلئيل.
15 These were the sons that Leah had borne to Jacob in Paddan-Aram, besides his daughter Dinah; inal , his sons and daughters numbered thirty-three.	15 هؤلاء بنو ليئة الذين ولدتهم ليعقوب في فدّان ارام مع دينة ابنته. جميع نفوس بنيه وبناته ثلاث وثلاثون
16 The sons of Gad: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi and Areli.	16 وبنو جاد صفيون وحجي وشوني واصبون وعيري وارودي وأرئيلي.
17 The sons of Asher: Jimnah, Jishvah, Jishvi, Beriah, with their sister Serah; the sons of Beriah: Heberand Malchiel.	17 وبنو اشير يمنة ويشوة ويشوي وبريعة وسارح هي اختهم. وابنا بريعة حابر وملكيئيل.
18 These were the sons of Zilpah whom Laban gave to his daughter Leah; she bore these to Jacob --sixteen persons.	18 هؤلاء بنو زلفة التي اعطاها لابان لليئة ابنته. فولدت هؤلاء ليعقوب ست عشرة نفسا
19 The sons of Rachel wife of Jacob: Joseph and Benjamin.	19 ابنا راحيل امرأة يعقوب يوسف وبنيامين.
20 Born to Joseph in Egypt were: Manasseh and Ephraim sons of Asenath, daughter of Potiphera priestof On.	20 وولد ليوسف في ارض مصر منسّى وافرايم اللذان ولدتهما له اسنات بنت فوطي فارع كاهن أون.
21 The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim and Ard.	21 وبنو بنيامين بالع وباكر وأشبيل وجيرا ونعمان وإيحي وروش ومفّيم وحفّيم وأرد.
22 These were the sons that Rachel bore to Jacob -- fourteen persons in al .	22 هؤلاء بنو راحيل الذين ولدوا ليعقوب. جميع النفوس اربع عشرة
23 The sons of Dan: Hushim.	23 وابن دان حوشيم.
24 The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer and Shil em.	24 وبنو نفتالي ياحصئيل وجوني ويصر وشلّيم.
25 These were the sons of Bilhah whom Laban gave to his daughter Rachel; she bore these to Jacob --seven persons in all.	25 هؤلاء بنو بلهة التي اعطاها لابان لراحيل ابنته. فولدت هؤلاء ليعقوب جميع الانفس سبع
26 Altogether, the members of Jacob's family who arrived with him in Egypt -- his own issue, notcounting the wives of Jacob's sons -- numbered sixty-six all told.	26 جميع النفوس ليعقوب التي اتت الى مصر الخارجة من صلبه ما عدا نساء بني يعقوب جميع النفوس ست وستون نفسا.
27 With Joseph's sons born to him in Egypt -- two persons -- the members of Jacob's family who wentto Egypt totalled seventy.	27 وابنا يوسف اللذان ولدا له في مصر نفسان. جميع نفوس بيت يعقوب التي جاءت الى مصر سبعون
28 Israel sent Judah ahead to Joseph, so that Judah might present himself to Joseph in Goshen. Whenthey arrived in Goshen,	28 فارسل يهوذا امامه الى يوسف ليري الطريق امامه الى جاسان. ثم جاءوا الى ارض جاسان.
29 Joseph had his chariot made ready and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel. As soon as heappeared he threw his arms round his neck and for a long time wept on his shoulder.	29 فشدّ يوسف مركبته وصعد لاستقبال اسرائيل ابيه الى جاسان. ولما ظهر له وقع على عنقه وبكى على عنقه زمانا.
30 Israel said to Joseph, 'Now I can die, now that I have seen you in person and seen you stil alive.'	30 فقال اسرائيل ليوسف اموت الآن بعدما رأيت وجهك انك حيّ بعد
31 Then Joseph said to his brothers and his father's family, 'I shall go back and break the news toPharaoh. I shall tel him, "My brothers and my father's family who were in Canaan have come to me.	31 ثم قال يوسف لاخوته ولبيت ابيه أصعد وأخبر فرعون واقول له اخوتي وبيت ابي الذين في ارض كنعان جاءوا اليّ.
32 The men are shepherds and look after livestock, and they have brought their flocks and cattle and altheir possessions."	32 والرجال رعاة غنم. فانهم كانوا اهل مواش وقد جاءوا بغنمهم وبقرهم وكل ما لهم.
33 Thus, when Pharaoh summons you and asks, "What is your occupation?",	33 فيكون اذا دعاكم فرعون وقال ما صناعتكم
34 you are to say, "Ever since our boyhood your servants have looked after livestock, we and ourfathers before us," so that you can stay in the Goshen region -- for the Egyptians have a horror of al shepherds.'	34 ان تقولوا عبيدك اهل مواش منذ صبانا الى الآن نحن وآباؤنا جميعا. لكي تسكنوا في ارض جاسان. لان كل راعي غنم رجس للمصريين
