Genesis 46

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 So Israel set out with al his possessions. Arriving at Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of hisfather Isaac.	1 Israele dunque levò le tende con tutto il suo avere e arrivò a Bersabea, dove offrì sacrifici al Dio di suo padre Isacco.
2 God spoke to Israel in a vision at night, 'Jacob, Jacob,' he said. 'Here I am,' he replied.	2 Dio disse a Israele in una visione notturna: "Giacobbe, Giacobbe!". Rispose: "Eccomi!".
3 'I am El, God of your father,' he said. 'Do not be afraid of going down to Egypt, for I will make you intoa great nation there.	3 Riprese: "Io sono Dio, il Dio di tuo padre. Non temere di scendere in Egitto, perché laggiù io farò di te un grande popolo.
4 I shal go down to Egypt with you and I myself shall bring you back again, and Joseph's hand wilclose your eyes.'	4 Io scenderò con te in Egitto e io te ne farò anche risalire. E sarà Giuseppe che ti chiuderà gli occhi".
5 So Jacob left Beersheba. Israel's sons conveyed their father Jacob, their little children and their wivesin the waggons Pharaoh had sent to fetch him.	5 Poi Giacobbe si levò da Bersabea e i figli di Israele fecero montare il loro padre Giacobbe, i loro bambini e le loro donne sui carri che il faraone aveva mandato per trasportarlo.

21 The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim and Ard.	21 I figli di Beniamino: Bela, Becher e Asbel, Ghera, Naaman, Echi, Ros, Muppim, Uppim e Arde.
22 These were the sons that Rachel bore to Jacob -- fourteen persons in al .	22 Questi sono i figli che Rachele partorì a Giacobbe; in tutto sono quattordici persone.
23 The sons of Dan: Hushim.	23 I figli di Dan: Usim.
24 The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer and Shil em.	24 I figli di Neftali: Iacseel, Guni, Ieser e Sillem.

29 Joseph had his chariot made ready and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel. 31 Then Joseph said to his brothers and his father's family, 'I shall go back and break the news toPharaoh. 33 Thus, when Pharaoh summons you and asks, "What is your occupation?",	33 Quando dunque il faraone vi chiamerà e vi domanderà: "Qual è il vostro mestiere?", voi rispondete:
34 you are to say, "Ever since our boyhood your servants have looked after livestock, we and ourfathers before us," so that you can stay in the Goshen region -- for the Egyptians have a horror of al shepherds.'	34 "Gente dedita al bestiame sono stati i tuoi servi, dalla nostra fanciullezza fino ad ora, sia noi che i nostri padri". Questo allo scopo di poter risiedere nella terra di Gosen". Perché tutti i pastori di greggi sono un abominio per gli Egiziani.
