Genesis 46

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 So Israel set out with al his possessions. Arriving at Beersheba, he offered sacrifices to the God of hisfather Isaac.	1 Partió Israel con todas sus pertenencias y llegó a Berseba, donde hizo sacrificios al Dios de su padre Isaac.
2 God spoke to Israel in a vision at night, 'Jacob, Jacob,' he said. 'Here I am,' he replied.	2 Y dijo Dios a Israel en visión nocturna: «¡Jacob, Jacob!» - «Heme aquí», respondió. -
3 'I am El, God of your father,' he said. 'Do not be afraid of going down to Egypt, for I will make you intoa great nation there.	3 «Yo soy Dios, el Dios de tu padre; no temas bajar a Egipto, porque allí te haré una gran nación.

5 So Jacob left Beersheba. Israel's sons conveyed their father Jacob, their little children and their wivesin the waggons Pharaoh had sent to fetch him.	5 Jacob partió de Berseba y los hijos de Israel montaron a su padre Jacob, así como a sus pequeños y mujeres, en las carretas que había mandado Faraón para trasportarle.
6 Taking their livestock and all that they had acquired in Canaan, they arrived in Egypt -- Jacob and alhis offspring.	6 También tomaron sus ganados y la hacienda lograda en Canaán, y fueron a Egipto, Jacob y toda su descendencia con él.
7 With him to Egypt, he brought his sons and grandsons, his daughters and granddaughters -- al hisoffspring.	7 Sus hijos y nietos, sus hijas y nietas: a toda su descendencia se la llevó consigo a Egipto.
8 These were the names of the Israelites, Jacob and his descendants, who arrived in Egypt: Reuben,Jacob's first-born,	8 Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Israel que entraron en Egipto: Jacob y sus hijos. El primogénito de Jacob: Rubén,

22 These were the sons that Rachel bore to Jacob -- fourteen persons in al .	22 Estos son los hijos que Raquel dio a Jacob. En total catorce personas.
23 The sons of Dan: Hushim.	23 Los hijos de Dan: Jusim.

28 Israel sent Judah ahead to Joseph, so that Judah might present himself to Joseph in Goshen. Whenthey arrived in Goshen,	28 Israel mandó a Judá por delante a donde José, para que éste le precediera a Gosen: y llegaron al país de Gosen.
29 Joseph had his chariot made ready and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel. As soon as heappeared he threw his arms round his neck and for a long time wept on his shoulder.	29 José engancho su carroza y subió a Gosen, al encuentro de su padre Israel; y viéndole se echó a su cuello y estúvose llorando sobre su cuello.
30 Israel said to Joseph, 'Now I can die, now that I have seen you in person and seen you stil alive.'	30 Y dijo Israel a José: «Ahora ya puedo morir, después de haber visto tu rostro, pues que tú vives todavía.»
31 Then Joseph said to his brothers and his father's family, 'I shall go back and break the news toPharaoh. I shall tel him, "My brothers and my father's family who were in Canaan have come to me.	31 José dijo a sus hermanos y a la familia de su padre: «Voy a subir a avisar a Faraón y decirle: “Han venido a mí mis hermanos y la casa de mi padre que estaban en Canaán.
32 The men are shepherds and look after livestock, and they have brought their flocks and cattle and altheir possessions."	32 Son pastores de ovejas, pues siempre fueron ganaderos, y, han traído ovejas, vacadas y todo lo suyo.»
33 Thus, when Pharaoh summons you and asks, "What is your occupation?",	33 Así, cuando os llame Faraón y os diga. “¿Cuál es vuestro oficio?”, 34 le decís: “Ganaderos hemos sido tus siervos desde la mocedad hasta ahora, lo mismo que nuestros padres.” De esta suerte os quedaréis en el país de Gosen.» Porque los egipcios detestan a todos los pastores de ovejas.
34 you are to say, "Ever since our boyhood your servants have looked after livestock, we and ourfathers before us," so that you can stay in the Goshen region -- for the Egyptians have a horror of al shepherds.'
