2 when Doeg the Edomite went and told Saul, "David went to the house of Ahimelech."	2 postquam Doeg Edomita ad Saul venit eique narravit dicens: " David intravit in domum Abimelech ".
3 Why do you glory in evil, you scandalous liar? All day long	3 Quid gloriaris in malitia, qui potens es iniquitate?
4 you plot destruction; your tongue is like a sharpened razor, you skillful deceiver.	4 Tota die insidias cogitasti; lingua tua sicut novacula acuta, qui facis dolum.
5 You love evil rather than good, lies rather than honest speech. Selah	5 Dilexisti malitiam super benignitatem, mendacium magis quam loqui aequitatem.
6 You love any word that destroys, you deceitful tongue.	6 Dilexisti omnia verba perditionis, lingua dolosa.
7 Now God will strike you down, leave you crushed forever, Pluck you from your tent, uproot you from the land of the living. Selah	7 Propterea Deus destruet te in finem; evellet te et emigrabit te de tabernaculo et radicem tuam de terra viventium.
8 The righteous will look on with awe; they will jeer and say:	8 Videbunt iusti et timebunt et super eum ridebunt:
9 "That one did not take God as a refuge, but trusted in great wealth, relied on devious plots."	9 “ Ecce homo, qui non posuit Deum refugium suum, sed speravit in multitudine divitiarum suarum et praevaluit in insidiis suis ”.
10 But I, like an olive tree in the house of God, trust in God's faithful love forever.	10 Ego autem sicut virens oliva in domo Dei. Speravi in misericordia Dei in aeternum et in saeculum saeculi.
11 I will praise you always for what you have done. I will proclaim before the faithful that your name is good.	11 Confitebor tibi in saeculum, quia fecisti; et exspectabo nomen tuum, quoniam bonum est, in conspectu sanctorum tuorum.
