2 when Doeg the Edomite went and told Saul, "David went to the house of Ahimelech."	2 Quando l’idumeo Doeg andò da Saul per informarlo e dirgli: «Davide è entrato in casa di Achimèlec».
3 Why do you glory in evil, you scandalous liar? All day long	3 Perché ti vanti del male, o prepotente?Dio è fedele ogni giorno.
4 you plot destruction; your tongue is like a sharpened razor, you skillful deceiver.	4 Tu escogiti insidie;la tua lingua è come lama affilata,o artefice d’inganni!
5 You love evil rather than good, lies rather than honest speech. Selah	5 Tu ami il male invece del bene,la menzogna invece della giustizia.
6 You love any word that destroys, you deceitful tongue.	6 Tu ami ogni parola che distrugge,o lingua d’inganno.
7 Now God will strike you down, leave you crushed forever, Pluck you from your tent, uproot you from the land of the living. Selah	7 Perciò Dio ti demolirà per sempre,ti spezzerà e ti strapperà dalla tendae ti sradicherà dalla terra dei viventi.
8 The righteous will look on with awe; they will jeer and say:	8 I giusti vedranno e avranno timoree di lui rideranno:
9 "That one did not take God as a refuge, but trusted in great wealth, relied on devious plots."	9 «Ecco l’uomo che non ha posto Dio come sua fortezza,ma ha confidato nella sua grande ricchezzae si è fatto forte delle sue insidie».
10 But I, like an olive tree in the house of God, trust in God's faithful love forever.	10 Ma io, come olivo verdeggiante nella casa di Dio,confido nella fedeltà di Dioin eterno e per sempre.
11 I will praise you always for what you have done. I will proclaim before the faithful that your name is good.	11 Voglio renderti grazie in eternoper quanto hai operato;spero nel tuo nome, perché è buono,davanti ai tuoi fedeli.
