1 For the leader. A psalm of the Korahites.1 [For the choirmaster Of the sons of Korah Psalm] Clap your hands, all peoples, acclaim God withshouts of joy.
2 All you peoples, clap your hands; shout to God with joyful cries.2 For Yahweh, the Most High, is glorious, the great king over al the earth.
3 For the LORD, the Most High, inspires awe, the great king overall the earth,3 He brings peoples under our yoke and nations under our feet.
4 Who made people subject to us, brought nations under our feet,4 He chooses for us our birthright, the pride of Jacob whom he loves.Pause
5 Who chose a land for our heritage, the glory of Jacob, the beloved. Selah5 God goes up to shouts of acclaim, Yahweh to a fanfare on the ram's horn.
6 God mounts the throne amid shouts of joy; the LORD, amid trumpet blasts.6 Let the music sound for our God, let it sound, let the music sound for our king, let it sound.
7 Sing praise to God, sing praise; sing praise to our king, sing praise.7 For he is king of the whole world; learn the music, let it sound for God!
8 God is king over all the earth; sing hymns of praise.8 God reigns over the nations, seated on his holy throne.
9 God rules over the nations; God sits upon his holy throne.9 The leaders of the nations ral y to the people of the God of Abraham. The shields of the earth belongto God, who is exalted on high.
10 The princes of the peoples assemble with the people of the God of Abraham. For the rulers of the earth belong to God, who is enthroned on high.
