2 Bless the LORD, my soul; do not forget all the gifts of God,	2 Benedici il Signore, anima mia,non dimenticare tutti i suoi benefici.
3 Who pardons all your sins, heals all your ills,	3 Egli perdona tutte le tue colpe,guarisce tutte le tue infermità,
4 Delivers your life from the pit, surrounds you with love and compassion,	4 salva dalla fossa la tua vita,ti circonda di bontà e misericordia,
5 Fills your days with good things; your youth is renewed like the eagle's.	5 sazia di beni la tua vecchiaia,si rinnova come aquila la tua giovinezza.
6 The LORD does righteous deeds, brings justice to all the oppressed.	6 Il Signore compie cose giuste,difende i diritti di tutti gli oppressi.
7 His ways were revealed to Moses, mighty deeds to the people of Israel.	7 Ha fatto conoscere a Mosè le sue vie,le sue opere ai figli d’Israele.
8 Merciful and gracious is the LORD, slow to anger, abounding in kindness.	8 Misericordioso e pietoso è il Signore,lento all’ira e grande nell’amore.
9 God does not always rebuke, nurses no lasting anger,	9 Non è in lite per sempre,non rimane adirato in eterno.
10 Has not dealt with us as our sins merit, nor requited us as our deeds deserve.	10 Non ci tratta secondo i nostri peccatie non ci ripaga secondo le nostre colpe.
11 As the heavens tower over the earth, so God's love towers over the faithful.	11 Perché quanto il cielo è alto sulla terra,così la sua misericordia è potente su quelli che lo temono;
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far have our sins been removed from us.	12 quanto dista l’oriente dall’occidente,così egli allontana da noi le nostre colpe.
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on the faithful.	13 Come è tenero un padre verso i figli,così il Signore è tenero verso quelli che lo temono,
14 For he knows how we are formed, remembers that we are dust.	14 perché egli sa bene di che siamo plasmati,ricorda che noi siamo polvere.
15 Our days are like the grass; like flowers of the field we blossom.	15 L’uomo: come l’erba sono i suoi giorni!Come un fiore di campo, così egli fiorisce.
16 The wind sweeps over us and we are gone; our place knows us no more.	16 Se un vento lo investe, non è più,né più lo riconosce la sua dimora.
17 But the LORD'S kindness is forever, toward the faithful from age to age. He favors the children's children	17 Ma l’amore del Signore è da sempre,per sempre su quelli che lo temono,e la sua giustizia per i figli dei figli,
18 of those who keep his covenant, who take care to fulfill its precepts.	18 per quelli che custodiscono la sua alleanzae ricordano i suoi precetti per osservarli.
19 The LORD'S throne is established in heaven; God's royal power rules over all.	19 Il Signore ha posto il suo trono nei cielie il suo regno domina l’universo.
20 Bless the LORD, all you angels, mighty in strength and attentive, obedient to every command.	20 Benedite il Signore, angeli suoi,potenti esecutori dei suoi comandi,attenti alla voce della sua parola.
21 Bless the LORD, all you hosts, ministers who do God's will.	21 Benedite il Signore, voi tutte sue schiere,suoi ministri, che eseguite la sua volontà.
22 Bless the LORD, all creatures, everywhere in God's domain. Bless the LORD, my soul!	22 Benedite il Signore, voi tutte opere sue,in tutti i luoghi del suo dominio.Benedici il Signore, anima mia.
