1 Of David. Bless the LORD, my soul; all my being, bless his holy name!	1 'Di Davide.' Benedici il Signore, anima mia, quanto è in me benedica il suo santo nome.
2 Bless the LORD, my soul; do not forget all the gifts of God,	2 Benedici il Signore, anima mia, non dimenticare tanti suoi benefici.
3 Who pardons all your sins, heals all your ills,	3 Egli perdona tutte le tue colpe, guarisce tutte le tue malattie;
4 Delivers your life from the pit, surrounds you with love and compassion,	4 salva dalla fossa la tua vita, ti corona di grazia e di misericordia;
5 Fills your days with good things; your youth is renewed like the eagle's.	5 egli sazia di beni i tuoi giorni e tu rinnovi come aquila la tua giovinezza.
6 The LORD does righteous deeds, brings justice to all the oppressed.	6 Il Signore agisce con giustizia e con diritto verso tutti gli oppressi.
7 His ways were revealed to Moses, mighty deeds to the people of Israel.	7 Ha rivelato a Mosè le sue vie, ai figli d'Israele le sue opere.
8 Merciful and gracious is the LORD, slow to anger, abounding in kindness.	8 Buono e pietoso è il Signore, lento all'ira e grande nell'amore.
9 God does not always rebuke, nurses no lasting anger,	9 Egli non continua a contestare e non conserva per sempre il suo sdegno.
10 Has not dealt with us as our sins merit, nor requited us as our deeds deserve.	10 Non ci tratta secondo i nostri peccati, non ci ripaga secondo le nostre colpe.
11 As the heavens tower over the earth, so God's love towers over the faithful.	11 Come il cielo è alto sulla terra, così è grande la sua misericordia su quanti lo temono;
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far have our sins been removed from us.	12 come dista l'oriente dall'occidente, così allontana da noi le nostre colpe.
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on the faithful.	13 Come un padre ha pietà dei suoi figli, così il Signore ha pietà di quanti lo temono.
14 For he knows how we are formed, remembers that we are dust.	14 Perché egli sa di che siamo plasmati, ricorda che noi siamo polvere.
15 Our days are like the grass; like flowers of the field we blossom.	15 Come l'erba sono i giorni dell'uomo, come il fiore del campo, così egli fiorisce.
16 The wind sweeps over us and we are gone; our place knows us no more.	16 Lo investe il vento e più non esiste e il suo posto non lo riconosce.
17 But the LORD'S kindness is forever, toward the faithful from age to age. He favors the children's children	17 Ma la grazia del Signore è da sempre, dura in eterno per quanti lo temono; la sua giustizia per i figli dei figli,
18 of those who keep his covenant, who take care to fulfill its precepts.	18 per quanti custodiscono la sua alleanza e ricordano di osservare i suoi precetti.
19 The LORD'S throne is established in heaven; God's royal power rules over all.	19 Il Signore ha stabilito nel cielo il suo trono e il suo regno abbraccia l'universo.
20 Bless the LORD, all you angels, mighty in strength and attentive, obedient to every command.	20 Benedite il Signore, voi tutti suoi angeli, potenti esecutori dei suoi comandi, pronti alla voce della sua parola.
21 Bless the LORD, all you hosts, ministers who do God's will.	21 Benedite il Signore, voi tutte, sue schiere, suoi ministri, che fate il suo volere.
22 Bless the LORD, all creatures, everywhere in God's domain. Bless the LORD, my soul!	22 Benedite il Signore, voi tutte opere sue, in ogni luogo del suo dominio. Benedici il Signore, anima mia.
