1 Then Job spoke again and said:	1 Allora Giobbe rispose e disse:
2 What help you give to the powerless, what strength to the feeble arm!	2 « A chi tu porti aiuto? Forse ad un debole?
3 How you counsel, as though he had no wisdom; how profuse is the advice you offer!	3 Forse sostieni il braccio di un impotente? A chi dài consiglio? Forse a chi non ha sapienza? Hai mostrata la tua moltissima prudenza.
4 With whose help have you uttered those words, and whose is the breath that comes forth from you?	4 A chi vorresti insegnare? Forse a colui che ha fatto il soffio (della vita)?
5 The shades beneath writhe in terror, the waters, and their inhabitants.	5 Ecco gemono sotto le acque i giganti, e quelli che abitano con essi.
6 Naked before him is the nether world, and Abaddon has no covering.	6 Dinanzi a lui l'inferno è nudo, e l'abisso non ha alcun velo.
7 He stretches out the North over empty space, and suspends the earth over nothing at all;	7 Egli distende il settentrione sul vuoto, e sospende la terra sul nulla.
8 He binds up the waters in his clouds, yet the cloud is not rent by their weight;	8 Rinchiude le acque nelle sue nuvole, affinchè non precipitino tutte insieme al basso;
9 He holds back the appearance of the full moon by spreading his clouds before it.	9 vela la faccia del suo trono, e spande sopra di esso le sue nubi.
10 He has marked out a circle on the surface of the deep as the boundary of light and darkness.	10 Tracciò un cerchio di confini sopra le acque, sino a tanto che non abbiano fine la luce e le tenebre.
11 The pillars of the heavens tremble and are stunned at his thunderous rebuke;	11 Le colonne del cielo tremano, spaventate al suo cenno;
12 By his power he stirs up the sea, and by his might he crushes Rahab;	12 colla sua potenza in un attimo riunì i mari, e la sua sapienza percosse il superbo.
13 With his angry breath he scatters the waters, and he hurls the lightning against them relentlessly; His hand pierces the fugitive dragon as from his hand it strives to flee.	13 Lo spirito di lui ornò i cieli, e l'abilità della sua mano produsse il tortuoso serpente.
14 Lo, these are but the outlines of his ways, and how faint is the word we hear!	14 Ecco, questo non è che una parte delle sue opere, non avendo noi sentita che una piccola stilla della sua parola. Chi potrà reggere al trono della sua grandezza? »
