1 Then Job spoke again and said:	1 És felelt Jób, és ezt mondta:
2 What help you give to the powerless, what strength to the feeble arm!	2 »Kinek vagy a segítője? Gyenge valakinek? és erőtlennek karját gyámolítod?
3 How you counsel, as though he had no wisdom; how profuse is the advice you offer!	3 Kinek adtál tanácsot? Annak talán, aki bölcsesség nélkül van, és kimutattad bőséges okosságodat?
4 With whose help have you uttered those words, and whose is the breath that comes forth from you?	4 Kit akarsz kitanítani? Talán őt, aki az életpárát teremtette?
5 The shades beneath writhe in terror, the waters, and their inhabitants.	5 Íme, nyögnek az árnyszellemek a vizek és azok lakói alatt;
6 Naked before him is the nether world, and Abaddon has no covering.	6 mez nélkül van az alvilág előtte, és nincsen leple az enyészet helyének,

9 He holds back the appearance of the full moon by spreading his clouds before it.	9 elleplezi trónja színét, és felhőjét teríti föléje,
10 He has marked out a circle on the surface of the deep as the boundary of light and darkness.	10 kört vont a vizek köré, odáig, ahol fény és sötétség érintkeznek.
11 The pillars of the heavens tremble and are stunned at his thunderous rebuke;	11 Reszketnek az ég oszlopai, és megrémülnek intésére.
12 By his power he stirs up the sea, and by his might he crushes Rahab;	12 Ereje által fölkavarta a tengert, és értelmével szétzúzta Rahabot,
13 With his angry breath he scatters the waters, and he hurls the lightning against them relentlessly; His hand pierces the fugitive dragon as from his hand it strives to flee.	13 lehelete ékesítette fel az eget, és keze segítségével jött a világra a menekülő kígyó.
14 Lo, these are but the outlines of his ways, and how faint is the word we hear!	14 Íme, ezek útjának csak egy részéről szólnak, ha már suttogó szavát is alig hallgathatjuk, fensége mennydörgését ki bírná felfogni?«
