NEW AMERICAN BIBLELXX
Then Job spoke again and said:1 υπολαβων δε ιωβ λεγει
What help you give to the powerless, what strength to the feeble arm!2 τινι προσκεισαι η τινι μελλεις βοηθειν ποτερον ουχ ω πολλη ισχυς και ω βραχιων κραταιος εστιν
How you counsel, as though he had no wisdom; how profuse is the advice you offer!3 τινι συμβεβουλευσαι ουχ ω πασα σοφια η τινι επακολουθησεις ουχ ω μεγιστη δυναμις
With whose help have you uttered those words, and whose is the breath that comes forth from you?4 τινι ανηγγειλας ρηματα πνοη δε τινος εστιν η εξελθουσα εκ σου
The shades beneath writhe in terror, the waters, and their inhabitants.5 μη γιγαντες μαιωθησονται υποκατωθεν υδατος και των γειτονων αυτου
Naked before him is the nether world, and Abaddon has no covering.6 γυμνος ο αδης επωπιον αυτου και ουκ εστιν περιβολαιον τη απωλεια
He stretches out the North over empty space, and suspends the earth over nothing at all;7 εκτεινων βορεαν επ' ουδεν κρεμαζων γην επι ουδενος
He binds up the waters in his clouds, yet the cloud is not rent by their weight;8 δεσμευων υδωρ εν νεφελαις αυτου και ουκ ερραγη νεφος υποκατω αυτου
He holds back the appearance of the full moon by spreading his clouds before it.9 ο κρατων προσωπον θρονου εκπεταζων επ' αυτον νεφος αυτου
He has marked out a circle on the surface of the deep as the boundary of light and darkness.10 προσταγμα εγυρωσεν επι προσωπον υδατος μεχρι συντελειας φωτος μετα σκοτους
The pillars of the heavens tremble and are stunned at his thunderous rebuke;11 στυλοι ουρανου επετασθησαν και εξεστησαν απο της επιτιμησεως αυτου
By his power he stirs up the sea, and by his might he crushes Rahab;12 ισχυι κατεπαυσεν την θαλασσαν επιστημη δε ετρωσε το κητος
With his angry breath he scatters the waters, and he hurls the lightning against them relentlessly; His hand pierces the fugitive dragon as from his hand it strives to flee.13 κλειθρα δε ουρανου δεδοικασιν αυτον προσταγματι δε εθανατωσεν δρακοντα αποστατην
Lo, these are but the outlines of his ways, and how faint is the word we hear!14 ιδου ταυτα μερη οδου αυτου και επι ικμαδα λογου ακουσομεθα εν αυτω σθενος δε βροντης αυτου τις οιδεν οποτε ποιησει
