1 Then the LORD said to Moses,	1 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
2 "On the first day of the first month you shall erect the Dwelling of the meeting tent.	2 ביום החדש הראשון באחד לחדש תקים את משכן אהל מועד
3 Put the ark of the commandments in it, and screen off the ark with the veil.	3 ושמת שם את ארון העדות וסכת על הארן את הפרכת
4 Bring in the table and set it. Then bring in the lampstand and set up the lamps on it.	4 והבאת את השלחן וערכת את ערכו והבאת את המנרה והעלית את נרתיה
5 Put the golden altar of incense in front of the ark of the commandments, and hang the curtain at the entrance of the Dwelling.	5 ונתתה את מזבח הזהב לקטרת לפני ארון העדת ושמת את מסך הפתח למשכן
6 Put the altar of holocausts in front of the entrance of the Dwelling of the meeting tent.	6 ונתתה את מזבח העלה לפני פתח משכן אהל מועד
7 Place the laver between the meeting tent and the altar, and put water in it.	7 ונתת את הכיר בין אהל מועד ובין המזבח ונתת שם מים
8 Set up the court round about, and put the curtain at the entrance of the court.	8 ושמת את החצר סביב ונתת את מסך שער החצר
9 "Take the anointing oil and anoint the Dwelling and everything in it, consecrating it and all its furnishings, so that it will be sacred.	9 ולקחת את שמן המשחה ומשחת את המשכן ואת כל אשר בו וקדשת אתו ואת כל כליו והיה קדש
10 Anoint the altar of holocausts and all its appurtenances, consecrating it, so that it will be most sacred.	10 ומשחת את מזבח העלה ואת כל כליו וקדשת את המזבח והיה המזבח קדש קדשים
11 Likewise, anoint the laver with its base, and thus consecrate it.	11 ומשחת את הכיר ואת כנו וקדשת אתו
12 "Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the meeting tent, and there wash them with water.	12 והקרבת את אהרן ואת בניו אל פתח אהל מועד ורחצת אתם במים
13 Clothe Aaron with the sacred vestments and anoint him, thus consecrating him as my priest.	13 והלבשת את אהרן את בגדי הקדש ומשחת אתו וקדשת אתו וכהן לי
14 Bring forward his sons also, and clothe them with the tunics.	14 ואת בניו תקריב והלבשת אתם כתנת
15 As you have anointed their father, anoint them also as my priests. Thus, by being anointed, shall they receive a perpetual priesthood throughout all future generations."	15 ומשחת אתם כאשר משחת את אביהם וכהנו לי והיתה להית להם משחתם לכהנת עולם לדרתם
16 Moses did exactly as the LORD had commanded him.	16 ויעש משה ככל אשר צוה יהוה אתו כן עשה
17 On the first day of the first month of the second year the Dwelling was erected.	17 ויהי בחדש הראשון בשנה השנית באחד לחדש הוקם המשכן
18 It was Moses who erected the Dwelling. He placed its pedestals, set up its boards, put in its bars, and set up its columns.	18 ויקם משה את המשכן ויתן את אדניו וישם את קרשיו ויתן את בריחיו ויקם את עמודיו
19 He spread the tent over the Dwelling and put the covering on top of the tent, as the LORD had commanded him.	19 ויפרש את האהל על המשכן וישם את מכסה האהל עליו מלמעלה כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
20 He took the commandments and put them in the ark; he placed poles alongside the ark and set the propitiatory upon it.	20 ויקח ויתן את העדת אל הארן וישם את הבדים על הארן ויתן את הכפרת על הארן מלמעלה
21 He brought the ark into the Dwelling and hung the curtain veil, thus screening off the ark of the commandments, as the LORD had commanded him.	21 ויבא את הארן אל המשכן וישם את פרכת המסך ויסך על ארון העדות כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
22 He put the table in the meeting tent, on the north side of the Dwelling, outside the veil,	22 ויתן את השלחן באהל מועד על ירך המשכן צפנה מחוץ לפרכת
23 and arranged the bread on it before the LORD, as the LORD had commanded him.	23 ויערך עליו ערך לחם לפני יהוה כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
24 He placed the lampstand in the meeting tent, opposite the table, on the south side of the Dwelling,	24 וישם את המנרה באהל מועד נכח השלחן על ירך המשכן נגבה
25 and he set up the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD had commanded him.	25 ויעל הנרת לפני יהוה כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
26 He placed the golden altar in the meeting tent, in front of the veil,	26 וישם את מזבח הזהב באהל מועד לפני הפרכת
27 and on it he burned fragrant incense, as the LORD had commanded him.	27 ויקטר עליו קטרת סמים כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
28 He hung the curtain at the entrance of the Dwelling.	28 וישם את מסך הפתח למשכן
29 He put the altar of holocausts in front of the entrance of the Dwelling of the meeting tent, and offered holocausts and cereal offerings on it, as the LORD had commanded him.	29 ואת מזבח העלה שם פתח משכן אהל מועד ויעל עליו את העלה ואת המנחה כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
30 He placed the laver between the meeting tent and the altar, and put water in it for washing.	30 וישם את הכיר בין אהל מועד ובין המזבח ויתן שמה מים לרחצה
31 Moses and Aaron and his sons used to wash their hands and feet there,	31 ורחצו ממנו משה ואהרן ובניו את ידיהם ואת רגליהם
32 for they washed themselves whenever they went into the meeting tent or approached the altar, as the LORD had commanded Moses.	32 בבאם אל אהל מועד ובקרבתם אל המזבח ירחצו כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
33 Finally, he set up the court around the Dwelling and the altar and hung the curtain at the entrance of the court. Thus Moses finished all the work.	33 ויקם את החצר סביב למשכן ולמזבח ויתן את מסך שער החצר ויכל משה את המלאכה
34 Then the cloud covered the meeting tent, and the glory of the LORD filled the Dwelling.	34 ויכס הענן את אהל מועד וכבוד יהוה מלא את המשכן
35 Moses could not enter the meeting tent, because the cloud settled down upon it and the glory of the LORD filled the Dwelling.	35 ולא יכל משה לבוא אל אהל מועד כי שכן עליו הענן וכבוד יהוה מלא את המשכן
36 Whenever the cloud rose from the Dwelling, the Israelites would set out on their journey.	36 ובהעלות הענן מעל המשכן יסעו בני ישראל בכל מסעיהם
37 But if the cloud did not lift, they would not go forward; only when it lifted did they go forward.	37 ואם לא יעלה הענן ולא יסעו עד יום העלתו
38 In the daytime the cloud of the LORD was seen over the Dwelling; whereas at night, fire was seen in the cloud by the whole house of Israel in all the stages of their journey.	38 כי ענן יהוה על המשכן יומם ואש תהיה לילה בו לעיני כל בית ישראל בכל מסעיהם
