1 "The Dwelling itself you shall make out of sheets woven of fine linen twined and of violet, purple and scarlet yarn, with cherubim embroidered on them.	1 Pour faire la Demeure, tu prendras 10 tentures de lin fin, de pourpre violette et de pourpre rouge, et de tissus teints en rouge foncé, et tu les broderas de chérubins.
2 The length of each shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the width four cubits; all the sheets shall be of the same size.	2 La longueur d’une tenture sera de 28 coudées, sa largeur de quatre coudées. Toutes les tentures auront la même dimension.
3 Five of the sheets are to be sewed together, edge to edge; and the same for the other five.	3 Les tentures seront attachées cinq par cinq.
4 Make loops of violet yarn along the edge of the end sheet in one set, and the same along the edge of the end sheet in the other set.	4 Tu feras des cordons en pourpre violette sur le bord de la première tenture, près de l’attache, et tu feras de même sur le bord de la tenture qui lui fait face.
5 There are to be fifty loops along the edge of the end sheet in the first set, and fifty loops along the edge of the corresponding sheet in the second set, and so placed that the loops are directly opposite each other.	5 Tu feras cinq cordons à la première tenture, et cinq cordons à la tenture qui lui fait face. Les cordons se feront face l’un à l’autre.
6 Then make fifty clasps of gold, with which to join the two sets of sheets, so that the Dwelling forms one whole.	6 Tu feras cinq agrafes d’or et tu attacheras les tentures par ces agrafes. Ainsi, la demeure ne fera qu’un seul tout.
7 "Also make sheets woven of goat hair, to be used as a tent covering over the Dwelling.	7 Tu feras également des tentures en poils de chèvres pour couvrir la demeure. Il y en aura onze.
8 Eleven such sheets are to be made; the length of each shall be thirty cubits, and the width four cubits: all eleven sheets shall be of the same size.	8 La longueur d’une tenture sera de 30 coudées, sa largeur de quatre coudées. Les onze tentures auront la même dimension.
9 Sew five of the sheets, edge to edge, into one set, and the other six sheets into another set. Use the sixth sheet double at the front of the tent.	9 Tu attacheras séparément cinq tentures d’un côté, et six tentures de l’autre. Tu doubleras la sixième tenture qui se trouve devant l’entrée de la demeure.
10 Make fifty loops along the edge of the end sheet in one set, and fifty loops along the edge of the end sheet in the second set.	10 Ensuite, tu feras 50 cordons au bord de la première tenture; ils s’attacheront aux 50 cordons de l’autre tenture.
11 Also make fifty bronze clasps and put them into the loops, to join the tent into one whole.	11 Tu feras 50 agrafes de bronze et tu passeras les agrafes dans les cordons. Ainsi tu monteras la demeure pour qu’elle ne fasse qu’un seul ensemble.
12 There will be an extra half sheet of tent covering, which shall be allowed to hang down over the rear of the Dwelling.	12 On laissera dépasser derrière la demeure ce qu’il y a de trop dans les tentures, et on le repliera en deux.
13 Likewise, the sheets of the tent will have an extra cubit's length to be left hanging down on either side of the Dwelling to protect it.	13 On laissera dépasser sur les côtés de la demeure, pour la protéger, la coudée qui est en trop dans la longueur des tentures.
14 Over the tent itself you shall make a covering of rams' skins dyed red, and above that, a covering of tahash skins.	14 Pour couvrir la demeure, tu feras une couverture en peaux de béliers teintes en rouge et une couverture en peau de poisson par-dessus.
15 "You shall make boards of acacia wood as walls for the Dwelling.	15 Les planches de la demeure seront en bois d’acacia.
16 The length of each board is to be ten cubits, and its width one and a half cubits.	16 Chaque planche aura 10 coudées de long, et une coudée et demie de large.
17 Each board shall have two arms that shall serve to fasten the boards in line. In this way all the boards of the Dwelling are to be made.	17 Chaque planche portera deux tenons, l’un à côté de l’autre. C’est ainsi que tu feras toutes les planches de la demeure.
18 Set up the boards of the Dwelling as follows: twenty boards on the south side,	18 Tu monteras les planches de la demeure: d’abord les 20 planches tournées vers le sud.
19 with forty silver pedestals under the twenty boards, so that there are two pedestals under each board, at its two arms;	19 Tu feras 40 supports en argent pour ces planches, et il y aura un support pour chacun des tenons de chacune des planches.
20 twenty boards on the other side of the Dwelling, the north side,	20 Pour le second côté de la demeure, le côté qui est tourné vers le nord, tu feras 20 planches,

25 Thus, there shall be in the rear eight boards, with their sixteen silver pedestals, two pedestals under each board.	25 Il y aura donc huit planches avec leurs supports en argent, ce qui fera 16 supports, deux pour chaque planche.
26 Also make bars of acacia wood: five for the boards on one side of the Dwelling,	26 Tu feras aussi des traverses en bois d’acacia, cinq pour les planches qui sont d’un côté de la demeure,
27 five for those on the other side, and five for those at the rear, toward the west.	27 et cinq traverses pour les planches qui sont de l’autre côté de la demeure, cinq traverses encore pour les planches de l’arrière de la demeure, à l’ouest.
28 The center bar, at the middle of the boards, shall reach across from end to end.	28 La traverse médiane qui unit les planches ira de bout en bout.
29 Plate the boards with gold, and make gold rings on them as holders for the bars, which are also to be plated with gold.	29 Tu recouvriras d’or les planches et les traverses et tu feras des anneaux d’or pour passer les traverses.
30 You shall erect the Dwelling according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.	30 Tu feras donc la demeure selon le plan qui t’a été montré sur la montagne.
31 "You shall have a veil woven of violet, purple and scarlet yarn, and of fine linen twined, with cherubim embroidered on it.	31 Pour le rideau il te faudra de la pourpre violette et de la pourpre rouge, des étoffes rouge sombre et du lin fin. Il sera brodé de chérubins.
32 It is to be hung on four gold-plated columns of acacia wood, which shall have hooks of gold and shall rest on four silver pedestals.	32 Tu le fixeras à quatre colonnes d’acacia recouvertes d’or, qui porteront des crochets en or et posées sur quatre bases d’argent.
33 Hang the veil from clasps. The ark of the commandments you shall bring inside, behind this veil which divides the holy place from the holy of holies.	33 Tu attacheras le rideau aux agrafes d’or et, derrière le rideau, tu placeras l’Arche du Témoignage. Le rideau servira de séparation entre le Saint et le Saint des Saints.
34 Set the propitiatory on the ark of the commandments in the holy of holies.	34 Tu placeras l’Instrument de l’Expiation sur l’Arche du Témoignage, dans le Saint des Saints.
35 "Outside the veil you shall place the table and the lampstand, the latter on the south side of the Dwelling, opposite the table, which is to be put on the north side.	35 Tu mettras la table à l’extérieur du rideau, tu placeras le chandelier en face de la table, sur le côté sud de la demeure, la table étant du côté nord.
36 For the entrance of the tent make a variegated curtain of violet, purple and scarlet yarn and of fine linen twined.	36 Puis, tu feras une tenture à l’entrée de la demeure. Elle sera en pourpre violette et en pourpre rouge, en tissu teint en rouge foncé et en lin fin; elle sera brodée.
37 Make five columns of acacia wood for this curtain; have them plated with gold, with their hooks of gold; and cast five bronze pedestals for them.	37 Tu feras cinq colonnes d’acacia recouvertes d’or pour porter la tenture, les bases en seront de bronze et les crochets d’or.
