1 Then he made a bronze altar twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide and ten cubits high.	1 Er schuf einen ehernen Altar von zwanzig Ellen Länge, zwanzig Ellen Breite und zehn Ellen Höhe.
2 He also made the molten sea. It was perfectly round, ten cubits in diameter, five in depth, and thirty in circumference;	2 Er ließ das "Meer" aus Erz gießen. Zehn Ellen maß es von einem Rand bis zum andern; es war ganz rund und fünf Ellen hoch; eine Schnur von dreißig Ellen konnte es rings umspannen.
3 below the rim a ring of figures of oxen encircled the sea, ten to the cubit, all the way around; there were two rows of these cast in the same mold with the sea.	3 Bilder von Rindern waren unterhalb und umsäumten es. Zehn auf eine Elle, umgaben sie das "Meer" ringsum. Die Rinder bildeten zwei Reihen und waren mit ihm aus einem Guß gegossen worden.
4 It rested on twelve oxen, three facing north, three west, three south, and three east, with their haunches all toward the center; the sea rested on their backs.	4 Auf zwölf Rindern ruhte es, von denen drei nach Norden, drei nach Westen, drei nach Süden und drei nach Osten gerichtet waren, während das "Meer" oben auf ihnen lag und ihre Hinterseite jeweils nach innen gekehrt war.
5 It was a handbreadth thick, and its brim was made like that of a cup, being lily-shaped. It had a capacity of three thousand measures.	5 Seine Dicke betrug eine Handbreit, sein Rand war gestaltet wie der Rand eines Bechers, einer Lilienblüte gleichend. Es faßte zweitausend Bat.
6 Then he made ten basins for washing, placing five of them to the right and five to the left. Here were cleansed the victims for the holocausts; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.	6 Ferner ließ er zehn Becken anfertigen und stellte fünf auf die rechte und fünf auf die linke Seite; sie dienten zum Waschen; alles zum Brandopfer Notwendige sollte man darin abspülen. Das "Meer" diente den Priestern als Waschgelegenheit.
7 He made the lampstands of gold, ten of them as was prescribed, and placed them in the nave, five to the right and five to the left.	7 Er machte die zehn goldenen Leuchter, wie sie vorschriftsmäßig sein mußten. Im Tempel stellte er sie auf, fünf zur rechten und fünf zur linken Seite.
8 He made ten tables and had them set in the nave, five to the right and five to the left; and he made a hundred golden bowls.	8 Er verfertigte zehn Tische und brachte sie in den Tempel, fünf auf die rechte und fünf auf die linke Seite. Dazu machte er hundert goldene Sprengschalen.
9 He made the court of the priests and the great courtyard and the gates of the courtyard; the gates he overlaid with bronze.	9 Er ließ den Vorhof der Priester anlegen sowie den großen Hof und die Türen für den Hof. Die zugehörigen Türflügel überzog er mit Erz.
10 The sea was placed off to the southeast from the right side of the temple.	10 Das "Meer" stellte er auf der rechten Seite des Hauses nach Südosten auf.
11 Huram also made the pots, the shovels and the bowls. Huram thus completed the work he had to do for King Solomon in the house of God:	11 Sodann verfertigte Hiram die Töpfe, Schaufeln und Sprengschalen. Damit vollendete Hiram die Arbeit, die er für den König Salomo am Gotteshaus zu leisten hatte:
12 two columns, two nodes for the capitals topping these two columns, and two networks covering the nodes of the capitals topping the columns;	12 Zwei Säulen, zwei Schalenkapitelle oben auf den Säulen, die zwei Geflechte, um die beiden Schalenkapitelle oben auf den Säulen zu bedecken,
13 also four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, with two rows of pomegranates to each network, to cover the two nodes of the capitals topping the columns.	13 die vierhundert Granatäpfel für die beiden Geflechte [in zwei Reihen hingen die Granatäpfel an jedem Geflecht, um die beiden Schalenkapitelle über den Säulen zu bedecken],
14 He made the stands, and the basins on the stands;	14 die zehn Gestelle, die zehn Becken auf den Gestellen,
15 one sea, and the twelve oxen under it;	15 das eine "Meer", die zwölf Rinder unter ihm,
16 likewise the pots, the shovels and the forks. Huram-abi made all these articles for King Solomon from polished bronze for the house of the LORD.	16 die Töpfe, Schaufeln und Gabeln. Alle Geräte verfertigte der Meister Hiram dem König Salomo für den Tempel des Herrn aus blankem Erz.
17 The king had them cast in the Jordan region, in the clayey ground between Succoth and Zeredah.	17 Im Jordangau bei der Furt von Adama zwischen Sukkot und Zereda ließ sie der König gießen.
18 Solomon made all these vessels, so many in number that the weight of the bronze was not ascertained.	18 Salomo ließ alle diese Geräte in so überaus großer Menge herstellen, daß das Gewicht des Erzes nicht festzustellen war.
19 Solomon had all these articles made for the house of God: the golden altar, the tables on which the showbread lay,	19 Salomo ließ alle Geräte anfertigen, die ins Haus Gottes kamen: den goldenen Altar, die Tische für das Auflegen der Schaubrote,
20 the lampstands and their lamps of pure gold which were to burn according to prescription before the sanctuary,	20 die Leuchter mit ihren Lampen aus gediegenem Gold, um sie nach Vorschrift vor dem hinteren Raum anzuzünden,
21 flowers, lamps and gold tongs (this was the purest gold),	21 dazu die Blüten, Lampen und Dochtscheren aus reinem Gold,
22 snuffers, bowls, cups and firepans of pure gold. As for the entry to the house, its inner doors to the holy of holies, as well as the doors to the nave, were of gold.	22 die Messer, Sprengschalen, Schüsseln und Pfannen aus gediegenem Gold. An den Türen des Hauses waren die inneren Flügel zum Allerheiligsten und die beiden Flügel zum Hauptraum ebenfalls aus Gold.
