1 Then he made a bronze altar twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide and ten cubits high.	1 Fece anche un altare di rame, lungo venti cubiti, largo venti cubiti, alto dieci cubiti.
2 He also made the molten sea. It was perfectly round, ten cubits in diameter, five in depth, and thirty in circumference;	2 Fece il mare di getto, che aveva dieci cubiti, da un orlo all'altro, era perfettamente rotondo, era alto cinque cubiti. Una corda di trenta cubiti abbracciava tutta la sua circonferenza;
3 below the rim a ring of figures of oxen encircled the sea, ten to the cubit, all the way around; there were two rows of these cast in the same mold with the sea.	3 sotto di essa aveva figure di buoi, e, al di fuori, delle sculture, divise come in due ordini, attorniavano per dieci cubiti la superficie del mare. 4 It rested on twelve oxen, three facing north, three west, three south, and three east, with their haunches all toward the center; the sea rested on their backs.	4 Il mare posava sopra dodici buoi, dei quali tre erari volti a settentrione, tre a occidente, tre a mezzodì e gli ultimi tre a levante. Essi sostenevano il mare e le loro parti posteriori eran di dentro sotto il mare.
5 It was a handbreadth thick, and its brim was made like that of a cup, being lily-shaped. It had a capacity of three thousand measures.	5 Il mare aveva lo spessore d'un palmo, il suo orlo era come quello d'un calice o di un giglio sbocciato, e conteneva tre mila metrete.
6 Then he made ten basins for washing, placing five of them to the right and five to the left. Here were cleansed the victims for the holocausts; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.	6 Fece anche dieci conche, e ne collocò cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra, per lavarvi tutto quel­lo che doveva essere offerto in olocausto; nel mare poi ci si lavavano i sacerdoti.
7 He made the lampstands of gold, ten of them as was prescribed, and placed them in the nave, five to the right and five to the left.	7 Fece anche dieci candelabri d'oro secondo la forma prescritta, e li pose nel tempio, cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra.
8 He made ten tables and had them set in the nave, five to the right and five to the left; and he made a hundred golden bowls.	8 Così pure dieci mense, e le collocò nel tempio, cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra; ed anche cento fiale d'oro.
9 He made the court of the priests and the great courtyard and the gates of the courtyard; the gates he overlaid with bronze.	9 Fece inoltre l'atrio pei sacerdoti e il gran portico, e, nel portico, le porte, che rivestì di rame.
10 The sea was placed off to the southeast from the right side of the temple.	10 Il mare lo collocò dal lato destro verso levante, dalla parte meridionale.
11 Huram also made the pots, the shovels and the bowls. Huram thus completed the work he had to do for King Solomon in the house of God:	11 Hiram fece le caldaie, i forchettoni, le fiale, e compì tutti i lavori del re nella casa di Dio,
12 two columns, two nodes for the capitals topping these two columns, and two networks covering the nodes of the capitals topping the columns;	12 cioè le due colonne cogli epistilii, i capitelli e le specie di reti che coprivano i capitelli al disopra degli epistilii,
13 also four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, with two rows of pomegranates to each network, to cover the two nodes of the capitals topping the columns.	13 e le quattrocento melagrane e le due reti, messe in modo che due ordini di melagrai ne erano imiti a ciascuna delle reti che coprivano gli epistilii e i capitelli delle colonne.
14 He made the stands, and the basins on the stands;	14 Fece anche le basi e le conche che pose sopra le basi,
15 one sea, and the twelve oxen under it;	15 e il mare unico, i dodici buoi che eran sotto il mare,
16 likewise the pots, the shovels and the forks. Huram-abi made all these articles for King Solomon from polished bronze for the house of the LORD.	16 e caldaie, i forchettoni e le coppe. Hiram suo padre fece a Salomone tutti i vasi per la casa del Signore con rame purissimo.
17 The king had them cast in the Jordan region, in the clayey ground between Succoth and Zeredah.	17 Il re li fece fondere nella regione del Giordano, in una terra argillosa tra Socot e Saredata.
18 Solomon made all these vessels, so many in number that the weight of the bronze was not ascertained.	18 La quantità dei vasi di rame era innumerabile da non potersi saper il peso del rame.
19 Solomon had all these articles made for the house of God: the golden altar, the tables on which the showbread lay,	19 Cosi Salomone fece tutti que­sti vasi della casa di Dio, e l'altare d'oro, e le mense sulle quali si mettevano i pani di proposizione.
20 the lampstands and their lamps of pure gold which were to burn according to prescription before the sanctuary,	20 Fece pure d'oro finissimo i candelabri colle lampade, per far lume dinanzi all'oracolo, secondo il rito,
21 flowers, lamps and gold tongs (this was the purest gold),	21 e così pure i fiori, le lucerne e le molle d'oro. Tutte que­ste cose furon fatte d'oro finissimo.
22 snuffers, bowls, cups and firepans of pure gold. As for the entry to the house, its inner doors to the holy of holies, as well as the doors to the nave, were of gold.	22 Anche i braceri, i turiboli, le coppe e i mortai eran di oro finissimo. Le porte del tempio interiore, cioè del Santo dei Santi, eran d'intaglio; e le porte del tempio al di fuori eran d'oro. Così fu compiuto tutto il lavoro che Salomone fece nella casa del Si­gnore.
