Psalms 69

1 Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.	1 [Für den Chormeister. Nach der Weise «Lilien». Von David.]
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.	2 Hilf mir, o Gott! Schon reicht mir das Wasser bis an die Kehle.
3 I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.	3 Ich bin in tiefem Schlamm versunken und habe keinen Halt mehr; ich geriet in tiefes Wasser, die Strömung reißt mich fort.
4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.	4 Ich bin müde vom Rufen, meine Kehle ist heiser, mir versagen die Augen, während ich warte auf meinen Gott.
5 O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.	5 Zahlreicher als die Haare auf meinem Kopf sind die, die mich grundlos hassen. Zahlreich sind meine Verderber, meine verlogenen Feinde. Was ich nicht geraubt habe, soll ich erstatten.
6 Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.	6 Gott, du kennst meine Torheit, meine Verfehlungen sind dir nicht verborgen.
7 Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.	7 Wer auf dich hofft, Herr, du Herr der Heere, soll durch mich nicht scheitern; wer dich sucht, Gott Israels, gerate durch mich nicht in Schande.
8 I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.	8 Denn deinetwegen erleide ich Schmach und Schande bedeckt mein Gesicht.
9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.	9 Entfremdet bin ich den eigenen Brüdern, den Söhnen meiner Mutter wurde ich fremd.
10 When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.	10 Denn der Eifer für dein Haus hat mich verzehrt; die Schmähungen derer, die dich schmähen, haben mich getroffen.
11 I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.	11 Ich nahm mich durch Fasten in Zucht, doch es brachte mir Schmach und Schande.
12 They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.	12 Ich ging in Sack und Asche, doch sie riefen Spottverse hinter mir her.
13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.	13 Man redet über mich in der Versammlung am Tor, von mir singen die Zecher beim Wein.
14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.	14 Ich aber bete zu dir, Herr, zur Zeit der Gnade. Erhöre mich in deiner großen Huld, Gott, hilf mir in deiner Treue!
15 Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.	15 Entreiß mich dem Sumpf, damit ich nicht versinke. Zieh mich heraus aus dem Verderben, aus dem tiefen Wasser!
16 Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.	16 Lass nicht zu, dass die Flut mich überschwemmt, die Tiefe mich verschlingt, der Brunnenschacht über mir seinen Rachen schließt.
17 And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.	17 Erhöre mich, Herr, in deiner Huld und Güte, wende dich mir zu in deinem großen Erbarmen!
18 Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.	18 Verbirg nicht dein Gesicht vor deinem Knecht; denn mir ist angst. Erhöre mich bald!
19 Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.	19 Sei mir nah und erlöse mich! Befrei mich meinen Feinden zum Trotz!
20 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.	20 Du kennst meine Schmach und meine Schande. Dir stehen meine Widersacher alle vor Augen.
21 They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.	21 Die Schande bricht mir das Herz, ganz krank bin ich vor Schmach; umsonst habe ich auf Mitleid gewartet, auf einen Tröster, doch ich habe keinen gefunden.
22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.	22 Sie gaben mir Gift zu essen, für den Durst reichten sie mir Essig.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.	23 Der Opfertisch werde für sie zur Falle, das Opfermahl zum Fangnetz.
24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.	24 Blende ihre Augen, sodass sie nicht mehr sehen; lähme ihre Hüften für immer!
25 Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.	25 Gieß über sie deinen Grimm aus, dein glühender Zorn soll sie treffen!
26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.	26 Ihr Lagerplatz soll veröden, in ihren Zelten soll niemand mehr wohnen.
27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.	27 Denn sie verfolgen den Mann, den du schon geschlagen hast, und mehren den Schmerz dessen, der von dir getroffen ist.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.	28 Rechne ihnen Schuld über Schuld an, damit sie nicht teilhaben an deiner Gerechtigkeit.
29 But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.	29 Sie seien aus dem Buch des Lebens getilgt und nicht bei den Gerechten verzeichnet.
30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.	30 Ich aber bin elend und voller Schmerzen; doch deine Hilfe, o Gott, wird mich erhöhen.
31 This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.	31 Ich will den Namen Gottes rühmen im Lied, in meinem Danklied ihn preisen.
32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.	32 Das gefällt dem Herrn mehr als ein Opferstier, mehr als Rinder mit Hörnern und Klauen.
33 For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.	33 Schaut her, ihr Gebeugten, und freut euch; ihr, die ihr Gott sucht: euer Herz lebe auf!
34 Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and everything that moveth therein.	34 Denn der Herr hört auf die Armen, er verachtet die Gefangenen nicht.
35 For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.	35 Himmel und Erde sollen ihn rühmen, die Meere und was sich in ihnen regt.
36 The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.	36 Denn Gott wird Zion retten, wird Judas Städte neu erbauen. Seine Knechte werden dort wohnen und das Land besitzen,
	37 ihre Nachkommen sollen es erben; wer seinen Namen liebt, soll darin wohnen.
