Psalms 58

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?	1 Du maître de chant. "Ne détruis pas." De David. A mi-voix.
2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.	2 Est-il vrai, êtres divins, que vous disiez la justice, que vous jugiez selon le droit les fils d'Adam?
3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.	3 Mais non! de coeur vous fabriquez le faux, de vos mains, sur terre, vous pesez l'arbitraire.
4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;	4 Ils sont dévoyés dès le sein, les impies, égarés dès le ventre, ceux qui disent l'erreur;
5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.	5 ils ont du venin comme un venin de serpent, sourds comme l'aspic qui se bouche l'oreille
6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.	6 de peur d'entendre la voix des enchanteurs, du charmeur expert en charmes.
7 Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.	7 O Dieu, brise en leur bouche leurs dents, arrache les crocs des lionceaux, Yahvé.
8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.	8 Qu'ils s'écoulent comme les eaux qui s'en vont, comme l'herbe qu'on piétine, qu'ils se fanent!
9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.	9 Comme la limace qui s'en va fondant ou l'avorton de la femme qui ne voit pas le soleil!
10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.	10 Avant qu'ils ne poussent en épines comme la ronce: verte ou brûlée, que la Colère en tempêtel'emporte!
11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.	11 Joie pour le juste de voir la vengeance: il lavera ses pieds dans le sang de l'impie.
	12 Et l'on dira: oui, il est un fruit pour le juste; oui, il est un Dieu qui juge sur terre.
