Psalms 58

KING JAMES BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?	1 Del maestro de coro. «No destruyas». De David. Mictán.
2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.	2 ¿Acaso ustedes, los poderosos, pronuncian realmente sentencias justas y gobiernan a los hombres con rectitud?
3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.	3 ¡No! Ustedes cometen injusticias a plena conciencia y favorecen la opresión en la tierra.
4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;	4 Los impíos están extraviados desde el seno materno; desde su nacimiento se descarriaron los impostores.
5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.	5 Tienen un veneno semejante al de las víboras; son como una serpiente sorda, que cierra los oídos,
6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.	6 para no oír la voz del encantador, la voz del mago que ejerce su arte con destreza.
7 Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.	7 Rómpeles, Dios mío, los dientes en la boca; arráncales, Señor, esos colmillos de leones.
8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.	8 Que se diluyan como agua que se evapora; que se marchiten como hierba pisoteada.
9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.	9 Sean como una babosa que se deshace al pasar, como un aborto de mujer que no llegó a ver el sol.
10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.	10 Que los arrastre el vendaval –verdes o quemados– antes que produzcan espinas como una zarza.
11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.	11 El justo se alegrará al contemplar la Venganza y lavará sus pies en la sangre de los impíos.
	12 Entonces dirán los hombres: «Sí, el justo recibe su recompensa; sí, hay un Dios que hace justicia en la tierra».
