KING JAMES BIBLENOVA VULGATA
1 Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.1 Magistro chori. Secundum " Ionat elem rehoqim ".
David. Miktam. Cum Gath Philistaei eum tenerent.

2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.2 Miserere mei, Deus, quoniam conculcavit me homo,
tota die impugnans oppressit me.
3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.3 Conculcaverunt me inimici mei tota die,
quoniam multi pugnant adversum me, Altissime.
4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.4 In quacumque die timebo,
ego in te sperabo.
5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.5 In Deo, cuius laudabo sermonem,
in Deo speravi;
non timebo: quid faciet mihi caro?
6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.6 Tota die rem meam perturbabant,
adversum me omnes cogitationes eorum in malum.
7 Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.7 Concitabant iurgia, insidiabantur,
ipsi calcaneum meum observabant.
Sicut quaesierunt animam meam,
8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?8 ita pro iniquitate retribue illis,
in ira populos prosterne, Deus.
9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.9 Peregrinationes meas tu numerasti:
pone lacrimas meas in utre tuo;
nonne in supputatione tua?
10 In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.10 Tunc convertentur inimici mei retrorsum,
in quacumque die invocavero:
ecce cognovi quoniam Deus meus es.
11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.11 In Deo, cuius laudabo sermonem,
in Domino, cuius laudabo sermonem,
12 Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.12 in Deo speravi;
non timebo: quid faciet mihi homo?
13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?13 Super me sunt, Deus, vota tua;
reddam laudationes tibi,
14 quoniam eripuisti animam meam de morte
et pedes meos de lapsu,
ut ambulem coram Deo in lumine viventium.
