1 The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.	1 Psaume d’Asaf. Le Dieu des dieux, Yahvé, a parlé: du lever du soleil jusqu’à son couchant il a convoqué toute la terre.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.	2 De Sion, la toute belle, Dieu resplendit,
3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.	3 voici venir notre Dieu, il sort de son silence! Devant lui passe un feu dévorant, autour de lui c’est la tempête.
4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.	4 Il s’adresse aux cieux là-haut, puis à la terre, il les convoque au jugement de son peuple.
5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.	5 “Rassemblez devant moi mes fidèles, ceux qui sacrifient, qui ont juré mon alliance.”
6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.	6 Ce sont les cieux qui proclameront la sentence, car le juge, c’est Dieu.
7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.	7 “Écoute, mon peuple, c’est moi qui parle, Israël, je vais témoigner contre toi, moi, Dieu, ton Dieu.
8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.	8 Je n’ai rien à redire pour tes sacrifices, tes holocaustes qui toujours fument devant moi.
9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.	9 Comment irais-je prendre un taureau dans ta maison ou des boucs à ta bergerie?
10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.	10 J’ai pour moi tous les animaux de la forêt, les bêtes des montagnes - et ce sont des milliers!
11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.	11 Je connais tous les oiseaux des cieux, tout le bétail des champs m’appartient.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.	12 Si j’avais faim, je ne te le dirais pas, car le monde est à moi et tout ce qui s’y trouve.
13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?	13 Est-ce que je mange la viande des taureaux? est-ce que je bois du sang de boucs?
14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:	14 Offre à Dieu pourtant le sacrifice d’action de grâce et donne au Très-Haut ce que tu as promis.
15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.	15 Appelle-moi au temps du malheur pour que je te délivre et que tu rendes grâce.”
16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?	16 Mais alors Dieu dit au méchant: “Pourquoi viens-tu réciter mes commandements? Tu n’as que mon alliance à la bouche,
17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.	17 mais tu détestes la morale et tu jettes mes paroles derrière toi.
18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.	18 Si tu trouves un voleur, tu cours avec lui, tu n’es qu’un de plus parmi les adultères;
19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.	19 tu ne te gênes pas pour dire du mal et tu te sers de ta langue pour tromper.
20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.	20 Tu vas t’asseoir, c’est pour parler contre ton frère, et tu salis le fils de ta propre mère.
21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.	21 Si tu le fais, dois-je me taire? Ou bien voudrais-tu que je sois comme toi? Je veux te corriger et te dire tout en face.
22 Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.	22 Tâchez de comprendre, vous qui oubliez Dieu, sinon, gare à ma griffe! nul ne vous délivrera.
23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.	23 Celui qui offre l’action de grâce m’honore, mais celui qui marche droit, c’est à lui que je ferai voir le salut de Dieu.”
