1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.	1 Halleluja!Singet dem HERRN ein neues Lied,seinen Lobpreis in der Versammlung der Frommen!
2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.	2 Es freue sich Israel seines Schöpfers,Zions Söhne sollen jubeln ob ihrem König!
3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.	3 Sie sollen seinen Namen preisen im Reigentanz,mit Pauken und Zithern ihm spielen!
4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.	4 Denn der HERR hat Wohlgefallen an seinem Volk;er schmückt (oder: krönt) die Gebeugten mit Sieg.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.	5 Frohlocken sollen die Frommen mit Stolz,sollen jauchzen auf ihren Lagern,
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;	6 Lobeserhebungen Gottes im Mundund ein doppelschneidiges Schwert in der Hand:
7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;	7 um Rache zu vollziehn an den Heiden,Vergeltung an den Völkern,
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;	8 um ihre Könige mit Ketten zu bindenund ihre Edlen mit eisernen Fesseln,
9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.	9 um das längst geschriebene Urteil an ihnen zu vollstrecken:eine Ehre ist dies für alle seine Frommen! Halleluja!
