Psalms 149

1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.	1 Alleluia! Cantate a Jahvè un cantico nuovo, la sua lode nell’adunanza dei pii!
2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.	2 Si allieti Israele nel suo creatore, i figli di Sion esultino nel loro re.
3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.	3 Lodino il suo nome nella danza, con timpano e cetra inneggino a lui.
4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.	4 Poiché si compiace Jahvè nel suo popolo, adorna gli umili di vittoria.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.	5 Trionfino i pii nella gloria, esultino nei loro quartieri.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;	6 Esaltazioni di Dio siano nella loro bocca e spada a due tagli nelle loro mani,
7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;	7 per fare vendetta fra le nazioni, punizioni tra i popoli,
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;	8 per legare i loro re in catene, i loro grandi in manette di ferro.
9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.	9 Per eseguire su di loro la sentenza scritta, avvenimento di gloria per tutti i suoi pii. Alleluia!
