Psalms 148

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.	1 Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; give praise in the heights.
2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.	2 Praise him, all you angels; give praise, all you hosts.
3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.	3 Praise him, sun and moon; give praise, all shining stars.
4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.	4 Praise him, highest heavens, you waters above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.	5 Let them all praise the LORD'S name; for the LORD commanded and they were created,
6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.	6 Assigned them duties forever, gave them tasks that will never change.
7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:	7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you sea monsters and all deep waters;
8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:	8 You lightning and hail, snow and clouds, storm winds that fulfill his command;
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:	9 You mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars;
10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:	10 You animals wild and tame, you creatures that crawl and fly;
11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:	11 You kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all who govern on earth;
12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:	12 Young men and women too, old and young alike.
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.	13 Let them all praise the LORD'S name, for his name alone is exalted, majestic above earth and heaven.
14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.	14 The LORD has lifted high the horn of his people; to the glory of all the faithful, of Israel, the people near to their God. Hallelujah!
