1 A Canticle in steps. From the depths, I have cried out to you, O Lord.	1 Cantico dei gradi. Dal profondo alzai le mie grida a te, o Signore: esaudisci, o Signore, la mia voce.
2 O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.	2 Siano intente le tue orecchie alla voce di mia preghiera.
3 If you, O Lord, were to heed iniquities, who, O Lord, could persevere?	3 Se tu baderai, o Signore, alle iniquità chi, o Signore, sostenersi potrà?
4 For with you, there is forgiveness, and because of your law, I persevered with you, Lord. My soul has persevered in his word.	4 Ma in te è clemenza, e a causa della tua legge io ho confidato in te, o Signore.
5 My soul has hoped in the Lord.	5 L'anima mia si è affidata alla sua parola: l'anima mia ha sperato nel Signore.
6 From the morning watch, even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.	6 Dalla vigilia del mattino, fino alla notte speri Israele nel Signore.
7 For with the Lord there is mercy, and with him there is bountiful redemption.	7 Perché nel Signore è misericordia, e redenzione copiosa presso di lui.
8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.	8 Ed ei redimerà Israele da tutte le sue iniquità.
