SMITH VAN DYKE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 هذه رحلات بني اسرائيل الذين خرجوا من ارض مصر بجنودهم عن يد موسى وهرون.	1 These were the stages of the journey made by the Israelites when they left Egypt in their companiesunder the leadership of Moses and Aaron.
2 وكتب موسى مخارجهم برحلاتهم حسب قول الرب. وهذه رحلاتهم بمخارجهم.	2 Moses recorded their starting-points in writing whenever they moved on at Yahweh's order. Thestages, from one starting-point to another, were as fol ows:
3 ارتحلوا من رعمسيس في الشهر الاول في اليوم الخامس عشر من الشهر الاول في غد الفصح خرج بنو اسرائيل بيد رفيعة امام اعين جميع المصريين	3 They left Rameses in the first month. It was the fifteenth day of the first month, the day following thePassover, when the Israelites confidently set out, under the eyes of al Egypt.
4 اذ كان المصريون يدفنون الذين ضرب منهم الرب من كل بكر. والرب قد صنع بآلهتهم احكاما	4 The Egyptians were burying those of their own people whom Yahweh had struck down, all the first-born; Yahweh had carried out his judgement on their gods.
5 فارتحل بنو اسرائيل من رعمسيس ونزلوا في سكّوت.	5 The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Succoth.
6 ثم ارتحلوا من سكّوت ونزلوا في ايثام التي في طرف البرية.	6 Then they left Succoth and encamped at Etham which is on the edge of the desert.
7 ثم ارتحلوا من ايثام ورجعوا على فم الحيروث التي قبالة بعل صفون ونزلوا امام مجدل.	7 They left Etham, turned back to Pi-Hahiroth, opposite Baal-Zephon, and encamped before Migdol.
8 ثم ارتحلوا من امام الحيروث وعبروا في وسط البحر الى البرية وساروا مسيرة ثلاثة ايام في برية ايثام ونزلوا في مارّة.	8 They left Pi-Hahiroth, crossed the sea into the desert, and after marching for three days in the desertof Etham they encamped at Marah.
9 ثم ارتحلوا من مارّة واتوا الى إيليم. وكان في ايليم اثنتا عشرة عين ماء وسبعون نخلة. فنزلوا هناك.	9 They left Marah and reached Elim. At Elim there were twelve springs of water and seventy palmtrees; they encamped there.
10 ثم ارتحلوا من ايليم ونزلوا على بحر سوف.	10 They left Elim and encamped by the Sea of Reeds.
11 ثم ارتحلوا من بحر سوف ونزلوا في برية سين.	11 They left the Sea of Reeds and encamped in the desert of Sin.
12 ثم ارتحلوا من برية سين ونزلوا في دفقة.	12 They left the desert of Sin and encamped at Dophkah.
13 ثم ارتحلوا من دفقة ونزلوا في الوش.	13 They left Dophkah and encamped at Alush.
14 ثم ارتحلوا من ألوش ونزلوا في رفيديم. ولم يكن هناك ماء للشعب ليشرب.	14 They left Alush and encamped at Rephidim; the people found no drinking water there.
15 ثم ارتحلوا من رفيديم ونزلوا في برية سيناء.	15 They left Rephidim and encamped in the desert of Sinai.
16 ثم ارتحلوا من برية سيناء ونزلوا في قبروت هتّأوة.	16 They left the desert of Sinai and encamped at Kibroth-ha-Taavah.
17 ثم ارتحلوا من قبروت هتّأوة ونزلوا في حضيروت.	17 They left Kibroth-ha-Taavah and encamped at Hazeroth.
18 ثم ارتحلوا من حضيروت ونزلوا في رثمة.	18 They left Hazeroth and encamped at Rithmah.
19 ثم ارتحلوا من رثمة ونزلوا في رمّون فارص.	19 They left Rithmah and encamped at Rimmon-Perez.
20 ثم ارتحلوا من رمّون فارص ونزلوا في لبنة.	20 They left Rimmon-Perez and encamped at Libnah.
21 ثم ارتحلوا من لبنة ونزلوا في رسّة.	21 They left Libnah and encamped at Rissah.
22 ثم ارتحلوا من رسّة ونزلوا في قهيلاتة.	22 They left Rissah and encamped at Kehelathah.
23 ثم ارتحلوا من قهيلاتة ونزلوا في جبل شافر.	23 They left Kehelathah and encamped at Mount Shepher.
24 ثم ارتحلوا من جبل شافر ونزلوا في حرادة.	24 They left Mount Shepher and encamped at Haradah.
25 ثم ارتحلوا من حرادة ونزلوا في مقهيلوت.	25 They left Haradah and encamped at Makheloth.
26 ثم ارتحلوا من مقهيلوت ونزلوا في تاحت.	26 They left Makheloth and encamped at Tahath.
27 ثم ارتحلوا من تاحت ونزلوا في تارح.	27 They left Tahath and encamped at Terah.
28 ثم ارتحلوا من تارح ونزلوا في مثقة.	28 They left Terah and encamped at Mithkah.
29 ثم ارتحلوا من مثقة ونزلوا في حشمونة.	29 They left Mithkah and encamped at Hashmonah.
30 ثم ارتحلوا من حشمونة ونزلوا في مسيروت.	30 They left Hashmonah and encamped at Moseroth.
31 ثم ارتحلوا من مسيروت ونزلوا في بني يعقان.	31 They left Moseroth and encamped at Bene-Jaakan.
32 ثم ارتحلوا من بني يعقان ونزلوا في حور الجدجاد.	32 They left Bene-Jaakan and encamped at Hor-Gidgad.
33 ثم ارتحلوا من حور الجدجاد ونزلوا في يطبات.	33 They left Hor-Gidgad and encamped at Jotbathah.
34 ثم ارتحلوا من يطبات ونزلوا في عبرونة.	34 They left Jotbathah and encamped at Abronah.
35 ثم ارتحلوا من عبرونة ونزلوا في عصيون جابر.	35 They left Abronah and encamped at Ezion-Geber.
36 ثم ارتحلوا من عصيون جابر ونزلوا في برية صين وهي قادش.	36 They left Ezion-Geber and encamped in the desert of Zin, that is, at Kadesh.
37 ثم ارتحلوا من قادش ونزلوا في جبل هور في طرف ارض ادوم	37 They left Kadesh and encamped at Mount Hor, on the borders of the land of Edom.
38 فصعد هرون الكاهن الى جبل هور حسب قول الرب ومات هناك في السنة الاربعين لخروج بني اسرائيل من ارض مصر في الشهر الخامس في الاول من الشهر.	38 The priest Aaron went up Mount Hor on Yahweh's orders and died there in the fortieth year of theexodus of the Israelites from Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.
39 وكان هرون ابن مئة وثلاث وعشرين سنة حين مات في جبل هور.	39 Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 وسمع الكنعاني ملك عراد وهو ساكن في الجنوب في ارض كنعان بمجيء بني اسرائيل	40 The king of Arad, the Canaanite who lived in the Negeb of Canaan, heard of the Israelites' arrival.
41 ثم ارتحلوا من جبل هور ونزلوا في صلمونة.	41 They left Mount Hor and encamped at Zalmonah.
42 ثم ارتحلوا من صلمونة ونزلوا في فونون.	42 They left Zalmonah and encamped at Punon.
43 ثم ارتحلوا من فونون ونزلوا في اوبوت.	43 They left Punon and encamped at Oboth.
44 ثم ارتحلوا من اوبوت ونزلوا في عيّي عباريم في تخم موآب.	44 They left Oboth and encamped in Moabite territory at Iye-Abarim.
45 ثم ارتحلوا من عيّيم ونزلوا في ديبون جاد.	45 They left Iyim and encamped at Dibon-Gad.
46 ثم ارتحلوا من ديبون جاد ونزلوا في علمون دبلاتايم.	46 They left Dibon-Gad and encamped at Almon-Diblathaim.
47 ثم ارتحلوا من علمون دبلاتايم ونزلوا في جبال عباريم اما نبو.	47 They left Almon-Diblathaim and encamped in the Abarim mountains facing Nebo.
48 ثم ارتحلوا من جبال عباريم ونزلوا في عربات موآب على اردن اريحا.	48 They left the Abarim mountains and encamped on the Plains of Moab, near the Jordan oppositeJericho.
49 نزلوا على الاردن من بيت يشيموت الى آبل شطّيم في عربات موآب	49 They encamped near the Jordan between Beth-ha-Jeshimoth and Abel-ha-Shittim, on the Plains ofMoab.
50 وكلم الرب موسى في عربات موآب على اردن اريحا قائلا	50 Yahweh spoke to Moses on the Plains of Moab, near the Jordan by Jericho, and said:
51 كلم بني اسرائيل وقل لهم انكم عابرون الاردن الى ارض كنعان	51 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "When you have crossed the Jordan into Canaan,
52 فتطردون كل سكان الارض من امامكم وتمحون جميع تصاويرهم وتبيدون كل اصنامهم المسبوكة وتخربون جميع مرتفعاتهم.	52 you wil drive out al the local inhabitants before you. You wil destroy al their painted images, youwil destroy al their metal statues and you wil demolish al their high places.
53 تملكون الارض وتسكنون فيها لاني قد اعطيتكم الارض لكي تملكوها	53 You wil take possession of the country and settle in it, for I have given you the country as yourproperty.
54 وتقتسمون الارض بالقرعة حسب عشائركم. الكثير تكثرون له نصيبه والقليل تقلّلون له نصيبه. حيث خرجت له القرعة فهناك يكون له. حسب اسباط آبائكم تقتسمون.	54 You wil share it out by lot among your clans. To a large clan you wil give a larger heritage, and to asmal er clan you wil give a smal er heritage. Where the lot fal s for each, that wil be his. Your heritage wildepend on the size of your tribe.
55 وان لم تطردوا سكان الارض من امامكم يكون الذين تستبقون منهم اشواكا في اعينكم ومناخس في جوانبكم ويضايقونكم على الارض التي انتم ساكنون فيها.	55 If, however, you do not drive out the local inhabitants before you, the ones you al ow to remain wilbe thorns in your eyes and thistles in your sides and wil harass you in the country where you are living,
56 فيكون اني افعل بكم كما هممت ان افعل بهم	56 and I shal treat you as I intended to treat them." '
